Usually, ratings are displayed for both players in official 1v1 games.
The ratings are not displayed for other players in a modded 2v2 game like the screenshot.
Of course, the rating probably doesn't make much sense in a non-rated game...unless it tells you a bit about the relative prowess of the players.

It probably makes sense to not display your personal rating in non-rated games?

Agree.
So, when is the rate adjusted, only during tournaments or whenever you play a rated game?
How do you recognize a rated game when you create a challenge?
