I wanted to spend $250 on this game but the cavalry bug is driving me nuts

Just had to get it out of myself. I see this game as the best successor to the panzer General series and wanted to buy the full package, but things like the infamous rifle-under-horse bug show just how much the devs don't care. Sad.
