FoG Crashes When Starting

Having re-installed base game to new Pc & unlocked the expansions I then tried to d/load latest version 1.7.0
It failed as it could not find some files in resources folder. So I copied them over from my previouos version (stored on external drive) & selected Try Again.

Now I get this error upon starting FoG:-

It may be better to reinstall FOG. Alternatively in a few days there will be a downloadable patch installer that should reset all the resource folder files fix this issue. Keith

Any update on a date for this patch please? Still unable to play despite the reinstall.

Sorry you are having problems. The files are in production now and we'll be building a test installer very soon. We expect thw patch to release late next week or early the following week.

Glad I'm not holding my breath waiting for this patch.

Sorry to push you but every other game / piece of software I have runs perfectly on my new PC with the exception of FoG.

171 is available. Suggest you uninstall then reinstall FOG, just the basic game. THen collect the 160 patch installer from the downloads site at Slitherine. Then select update from within the game. So not try and take any setting from the previous setup. Keith

Yet again I've uninstalled it all, installed just the base game, then 1.6.0 patch then used uped to get 1.7.1.

I try to register the expansion & get the following error:-

Runtime Error

\common\plugin.cpp: 7450
failure condition:pluginEntryTable.GetEntry(entrypointName out)

Clicking on OK just gets bringing up the error so I have to cancel.

Can you help us here and be very specific on what exactlty you click up to the point of the crash, naming the buttons exactly that you select.

Also where did you get your copy of FOG for the first install before the 160 patch. Is it a Slitherine or Matrix download or CD, or other.

All so that we can try and exactly replicate the issue.

Hurrah - success at last. For the 4th time I uninstalled everything, then installed the base game and patch 1.6.0

However this time I entered my serials for the expansions PRIOR to updating to 1.7.0 or 1.7.1

Now everything is working fine.

Can you tell me your Windows version, PC model. RAM, graphics card and graphics RAM.
