Defending cities

I don't get how loading a unit works with regard to cities. Is it better to "fortify" a unit defending a city, or to "load" the unit into the city. As far as I can tell, the AI doesn't load units, so when attacking a guarded city I have to kill off the defender then attack the city.

welcome to Aggressors forum.

I hope that this will answer your question.
AI also loads the units in the city however in both case (when unit is "loaded" in the city of stays "on" the city) you first need to attack the unit and with second attack conquer the city).

This game looks good and has nice gameplay style so it is well worth the cost.
