What is with the loss of unit strengths and loss of points?

What is with the loss of unit strengths and loss of points?

I have been playing the game lately on challenging mode and notice that at the start of a new scenario I keep having losses to my units that did not occur. (e.g. mortar team starts and ends last scenario at full strength, new scenario they are less than half). I also seem to keep losing points but my units can all end a scenario with full strength and 100% morale, but the points just vanish, and they will be injured during the next scenario. Am I missing something????

Sorry I do not have a screen shot, but if this is a bug I will get some.

Sorry, if this is a rehash of an old post...I did not see any that seemed to fit.

Where the Units in transports when the Scenario finished?

If yes then that bug has not been fixed / occurred again.

We looked at a number of issues related to problems such as this regarding points and should have more than a few fixes coming out soon, but I think this is the first time I've heard of a unit finishing the last turn in transport affecting its status at the start of the next. Might be something to investigate, thanks!

Here is the link to the post,where i reported this issue last time (has savegame as well). Only at higher Levels where there is insufficient Prestige to repair Units would it become apparent.

Ahh I see. Well I'm pretty certain we've nailed down that problem of insufficient Points to repair units in the current BETA testing builds, so I'm hopeful this will get cleaned up as well! When changing over from one scenario to another in any campaign, the game should not be eating any points when it auto-issues replacements.

As an example. If you finish mission 1 with 15 units at 1 strength, you start mission 2 with all those units at full strength and let's say... 2500 points. If you finish mission 1 with those same 15 units at full strength, you start mission 2 with all of those units at full strength and again 2500 points.

The only time points fluctuates is based on the net value of your 15 units. If you have 15 very, very expensive units, you may only get 500 points. If you have a combined arms force with a mix, you'll get the 2500 example.

There's more going wrong with requisition points. if you play the Salamanders campaign at the lowest setting, you can complete the campaign with close to 100K surplus requisition points. Try the same on normal setting and you may be starving for requisition points half way through.

Yeah, the Vulcan's Wrath DLC is not too much fun when you play challenging level or higher (maybe even normal). It doesn't bring units up to full health and I'm not able to buy new units because I start with 6 requisition points every turn. At first I thought it was the way the game was meant to be. I'm at a point where all of my tactical squads have a strength of 4 starting the scenario. I just started the Tartus defense scenario and officially can't make it past this scenario because I have too many units that are not up to strength. Other than the first scenario in the expansion I have not had any spare requisition points to play with. The DLC at this point is not fun and I consider unplayable at this time. What's the point if I can't enjoy buying new units and changing things around? The only reason why I was able to get this far was from saving and loading all the time and the bonus units you get when you complete the secondary objectives. Even if this is somehow not a bug change the balance, I would like to be able to afford some new units so I'm not playing with the same units all game long.

That's a known bug. All difficulties higher than normal will give you no additional points apart from what you have in the first mission. Yes, that's unplayable. I too made it to the Tartarus defense on challenging before it was posted in the forums here. :x

Just replay it on normal (everything works there) or wait for a fix and then go for higher difficulties

Is this bug of "no additional points" true for all campaigns or just the dlc? I was about to start the act 1 campaign on challenging, but if you never get any reinforcements that seems *too challenging*. That is what some other games call an "iron man" mode (XCOM for example).

EDIT: the 1.06 patch note from last week says "Fixed wrong points allocation on some difficulty levels". This could be a full solution I guess.

Only the FIrst DLC was affected, the original campaign is OK.

I wonder if this is also true on the iPad. I just reached Tartarus Defense on challenging, and I'm getting whittled down. Halfway through the mission, I'm not sure I'll survive. I haven't been able to upgrade nearly as much as in the original campaign, and at the start of this mission you get three new slots and I didn't have any points with which to fill them.

Though I'm probably doing something else wrong. Almost all my units were replenished, and being down ~3.5 units shouldn't be killing me like this.
