Can WarWagons pursue routing troops?

Hi, I ran into this one last night at the club. My battle group of two warwagons had been charged by Cav, with ultimately the cav loosing (the supporting knights may have had something to do with it). The cav routed and we were wondering if the war wagons could choose to pursue. From the rules, it s...

Hi Peter and Andrea, just like to say thank you for a great and relaxing comp in Rome. The games were fun and relaxing, even playing people with little or no English. Guess beer and rolling sixes is a universal language now. I had a lot of fun for my first comp having moved to the UK and look forwar...

I had two of my games end with time called over the duration of the Rome comp. For me, it wasn't for the lack of trying, I was having a relaxed and enjoyable game, and wasn't really pushing it to get a result. I guess with just one win under my belt coming into round five tends to make your view of ...

Yah! I'm the only aussie at Rome! Even if I get completely smashed I can say that I was the top ranked aussie. Going to be half brain dead though, I will have only arrived in Europe a couple of days earlier. Hope there is a good barrista nearby, going to need a ristretto to get the brain firing. Loo...

My idea behind using the fortifications was to give me some terrain that I can depend on. Playing with Knights, I normally can't afford to buy an IC, so, when I play against the steepe armies, I seem to have my proverbial hanging out in the wind. Was thinking to use the fortifications, artillery and...

With the redoubt idea, are you thinking deploying the artillery behind fortifications deep into the table? Was thinking of trying that, but then worried about my flanks. LH always seem rude and won't come and play to the front, they run around to your flank and then attack you. Slim 100% All Natural...

I have found that the cav either work really well, or they get butchered. I keep thinking that they are armoured and use them offensively. Protected cav don't play well with armoured units. I do love my pike, but no one wants to play with them. How have people found poor pike, they worth it? Slim 10...

Thanks for the hints. I've been thinking about bringing in three BGs of the Ordonnace LB, one of which is upgraded to the Cav, plus a bunch of artillery. Would use that to create an anchor and then have the knights with the cav go a chasing. Was thinking as well to buy some of the fortifications to ...

Guess no one wants to play with the big noisy toys. I do like the idea to be about to reach out and touch troops, especially those shooty cav/LH who always run away when my knights charge after them.

Communal Italian lists

Hi, are there any lists for the Communal Italian, around the 1200 AD? I had a lot of fun with them in DBM and would love to play them in FoG.

I know that there is the Italian Condotta, but I was looking more for the earlier lists.

Thanks

Artillery in open competitions

What has been peoples experience with artillery in open competitions? I've been thinking of bringing in artillery with my French Ordonnance and was wondering how people have found them to work.

Advice for the French Ordonnance list

Hi everyone, I'm planning on bringing the French Ordonnance to the IWF competition in Rome and after some list advice. What would you go for in this list? Heavy knights, some pike and heavy weapons, or same amount of knights, no heavy foot and more long bow? I've brought the French to a couple of op...
