Re: Which way do I conform ?

Don't know about v2 - don't think they considered it. For a charge at an angle - so that the chargers front corners touch the enemy but not the front edge - I think the rules work if the charger conforms to the bases that they are physically touching. Sometimes though it look a little odd as they c...

Re: Britcon and Worlds 2012

On the 5x3 feet table Hammy has for Games Expo and the Stockport mix'n match event, the mandatory terrain piece is deemed to fit, even if it violates the 8-inch-gap-to-the-board-edge rule. In the Britcon 15mm "ancient" period with a 60x40 inch table, you will have 20 inches depth in each half of the...

Re: Britcon and Worlds 2012 Date Announced

A more immediate problem is Roll Call (TBC), for which the lists are allegedly due by 23rd April last year. It's a timey-wimey thing

Re: Rule clarifications

5. Charging into the rear. If you charge into the rear of a BG and that BG is contacted into bases in the first rank that are already in combat with a BG to its front, does the contacted BG get any dice in the impact combat for the bases contacted but already in melee combat to its front. I would h...

On the subject of beer in/from the Boston area ...

Sam Adams is a perfectly serviceable beer, available pretty much anywhere in the USA.

However, if you're looking for a brewpub in Boston, Rock Bottom on Stuart Street and Tremont has an eclectic selection.

Vexillia supply the Venexia range (from Italy) including Ottomans. Horses and men are separate castings, and the men often have separate arms and/or torsos. http://www.vexillia.ltd.uk/venexia/shop15_otto.html http://www.vexillia.ltd.uk/venexia/images/scanot06.jpg The cavalry command pack includes a ...

Re: War of the Roses - Yorkist Pretender

Surely the raison d'etre of a Yorkist Pretender army is the pike-armed infantry. If you want to minimise the pike complement, or do without it completely, then other flavours of Yorkist, or even (spit!) Lancastrian armies are the way to go. Personally, nothing says gerrartovvit! to enemy skirmishers...

That makes sense. As beer consumption proceeds and the players expand, , they cannot stand as close, and eventually can't reach across a full size table.

Re: Break offs

So, you were thinking that possibly the fact the pursuers had caused an impact to be resolved in the next turn would override the rules for breaking off at the end of this turn?

I would say not.

But surely both of you, Dr Gaukroger and Mr Bodley-Scot, are talking about FoG R [/u] since that is what you will be playing. Nope. FOGR is fine as it is. And yes, I will. Indeed FoG:R works fine with 800 points and 6x4 tables, however, FoG:AM needs a bit of help. Actually, FoGR has a very specific...
