Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

@McGuba: Please allow one question/suggestion regarding your recon planes/Aufklärungsgeschwader: Would it be possible to give them recon move(ment) as well, i.e. similar as with your s-boats? I am coming up with this as I recently played Omaha Beach of US Corps 44-45 (which I think you don’t have)....

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

I am really sorry as well, if only I could help, but unfortunately I never had a Mac so I have no idea how it works. As far as I know the Mac conversion was given to a 3rd party who did not do a great job as anyways some game mechanics are missing from that one, so even if you manage to install it s...

Re: BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [ALLIES] [Turn 21] - 1942

Syria The opponent has some success. We clearly do not have enough strength to throw the enemy into the sea. Aviation carries out a bombing. While I like the idea of invading the Middle East, I wonder why the Germans didn't bring any tanks (nor artillery) there at all? Maybe because the tanks can't...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

In addition, adding the Spanish Civil War of 1936 to the Battlefield Europe mod, i.e. as a small training mission before the invasion of Poland would be really great/interesting as in reality it was actually used as some form of “training ground/mission” for the later belligerents… Great idea ! And...

Re: BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [AXIS] [Turn 14] - 1942

By the way, have the British coastel/Channel forts changed in this mod, i.e. when compared to version 1.9, they look different? I do not remember exactly what was in version 1.9, but now the coastal fort is artillery. Which can be repaired unlike ordinary forts. And shoots at 3 hex. Which is very d...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

Yeah, it should replace the original (short) Wehrmacht campaign as seen here:

Believe it or not, I only have this very first stock German campaign and none of the later released DLCs so I do not know how it shows up in the Gold version.

Re: BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [ALLIES] [Turn 13] - Moscow HOLD?

And anyway, since now we are playing with half the prestige, the Axis will also have more resources to tackle a stronger Soviet resistance after winter 1941 wheter or not he is able to reach Moscow. @both of you: by the way, what I still wanted to ask: you seem to be doing OK on prestige so far, do...

Re: BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [ALLIES] [Turn 13] - Moscow HOLD?

Hi, if anyone seriously want to give a try to multi just drop me a line and then I can upload the latest build. I continuously make small changes and tweeks as we go ahead with this test play and as we find small things that can be improved. I can tell that it has changed quite a lot since this vers...

Re: BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [AXIS] [Turn 13] - Moscow captured

Please allow me to ask, what were you looking for in Gibraltar? At that time, I wanted to sink an aircraft carrier and several capital ships of Britain. Before the crisis of fuel comes and all large capital ships will have 50, and then 25 fuel. I wonder what the other side thought about this ...

Re: BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [ALLIES] [Turn 13] - Moscow HOLD?

This is so very interesting as your forces look unstoppable in Moscow, yet in your playthrough on the Axis side you did take over Moscow...Did you destroy these massive BA looking units of your opponent, or did he not get them deployed based on the speed of your breakthrough? I did not get several ...

Re: BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [AXIS] [Turn 5]

Strategically, I think the Germans had to take these islands otherwise they hadn't been able to control the central and northern Baltic Sea. It's maybe similar to Bornholm: These islands were also used as a base for Soviet long range navy bombers for their air raids against Berlin in August 1941. T...

Re: Battlefield: Europe - The Survey

OK, so since the number of feedbacks has become very low in last couple of days/weeks I think it is time to share some of the results. Although I was hoping for a few more, I understand that (sadly) a lot of players have moved to other games/interests in the last one year or so (as it is also indica...

Re: BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [AXIS][Turn 3]

So unless/until there is a fix by the game developer, you suggest to play the new MP version with "show opponent's moves=OFF"? Yes. You can try playing it with ON, but most likely the game will switch to OFF on its own after a few, random number of turns. It happened like that in all our test plays...

Re: BATTLEFIELD EUROPE v1.94:MP - Strategy Guide [AXIS][Turn 3]

Excellent AAR! Unfortunately I did not make many screenshots so I cannot contribute by showing the other side. I only took screenshots of the losses chart at the end of each turn to compare them as we are actually playing two matches from both sides. I did take a few tactical screenshots though, but...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v1.9

It is way too early to speculate about that. Currently I work on / test the next version which will bring a lot of changes / improvements. PzC1 still has a lot of potential.

Re: Why no horse transportation for the Germans?

The horse carries their shit, allowing them to walk faster. Baggage and a towed artillery piece are not at all the same load. Yes of course I understand, but my original question was how do you explain that infantry with horses to carry their equipment moves three times faster than artillery drawn ...

Re: Why no horse transportation for the Germans?

A horse cannot just “carry infantry”, there are two choices: either the soldier rides the horse, what the average soldier cannot do as riding a horse has to be learned, then it is indeed faster than marching, but not so much, and the other option is to put the soldiers into a coach drawn by horses b...

Re: Why no horse transportation for the Germans?

They are in the game. Any time a German infantry or towed unit doesn't have a mechanized transport, it has a horse. So then how do you explain that despite infantry and towed artillery has basically the same horse transport (or the venerable British/US minions ), basic infantry units on their...
