Re: Order of Battle: Endsieg Units Preview

Wow that's impressive. The Germans were masters of invention. I wonder had the war continued a few more years, they would have created internet and Twitter for faster battlefield communications.

Re: Order of Battle: Endsieg Units Preview

I didn't know Panthers used infrared. That's pretty cool considering infrared vision is fairly rare even in today's armies. Did the Germans invent infrared tech?

Re: Order of Battle: Endsieg Units Preview

Maybe the Uhu can cook enemy troops using microwave waves? I don't think there is any rule in the Geneva convention against using microwaves in war. I think it was the Germans in WW2 that invented the microwave oven so I wonder if they planned a weaponized version mounted on halftracks?

Re: Order of Battle: Endsieg Units Preview

Interesting units. Three of them are new for me to learn about.
We can rename units right? I want to rename the railway gun to Anzio Annie.

Re: Order of Battle: Endsieg Campaign Tree

This is gonna be a good DLC for sure. I like how Aachen and Huertgenwald are included. Most games always skip over those and go straight to the Ardennes but those are two very important battles and the participants deserve credit. I wish you could add in the Lorraine counteroffensive and the defense...

Re: Order of Battle - 6.1.9

I wish I could have your fixes incorporated into my game.
Now I'm feeling very curious about what the counterattacks are supposed to seize from the player: your flag, captives for intel or maybe your rations?

Re: Order of Battle - 6.1.9

bru, what kind of changes to do you make to the campaigns? I'm finding the game very challenging to finish on time as it is. Are you making it harder or easier? Do you change supply & numbers of units ingame?

Re: Order of Battle - 6.1.9

You mod the game only for your own campaign? Or you are helping the devs upgrade the game? Maybe they want your upgraded version.

Re: Order of Battle - 6.1.9

That's not unusual. I've seen a lot of people who like modding and making user-made scenarios even more than playing the game. What battle are you making?

Re: Order of Battle - 6.1.9

I tried playing OOB again after a year or two of never touching it cause of problems on the forum. The upgrades have made the game very good and I like the introduction movie. I picked up the DLCs I missed and will get back into playing this game. I was surprised by the gigantic sizes of the last t...

Re: Defending cities

I was wondering the same thing so that link was helpful.
This game looks good and has nice gameplay style so it is well worth the cost.
Thank you for this game.

I agree with those suggestions, GiveWar. I also agree with having the automatic camera but one that zooms right over to the unit in combat.
Ya zoom in would be good.

Re: Suggestions for Improvements

I think I will help... actually not help at all.... by saying I like the exact opposite of some of these ideas. I really don't want to have to choose the AI's armies. That is too much work and takes all the intrigue out of the game. I radically prefer having automatic camera movement during the enem...

Re: Review

I found this game always difficult, even when I had a lot of success in making villagers pleased and snuffing out packs of badguys in the jungle. Sometimes I'd fail to supply units in time so they were lost, or the badguys showed up in large numbers in unexpected places, or they shot down my helicop...

Re: Cannae: Countering a wide Roman formation.

Was there any reason the consuls did not fan it out historically? One of them was sulking, and the other was an idiot. They'd always lined up with cavalry on the wings, so that was what they did this time, even though it sounds like they had enough infantry to reach secure flanks on both sides. The...

I like the Ancient Brits.
A campaign Brits vs Romans would be fun or a British invasion of Gaul. Actually that was the first sandbox campaign I tried and I got whipped.

Re: Field of Glory II version 1.4.7 is available – Praetorian Update

Thank you for the gigantic update.
It's good you put a download link on Slitherine because the ingame patch update thing in the popup menu always gives me a FTP file error.
It is much easier to download the patch from this site and then install.
