Re: Your View on 1.03 update and what to improve ?

The Rome goes north trend is not something new and several things were added to fight off that with mixed results. I think in the end it is caused by the AI having the choice either to expand against weak independents or tough fortified civilized nations. Being an AI, it goes to the short term avai...

Re: Your View on 1.03 update and what to improve ?

I'm definetely with Nithus here. The Rome controlled AI tends invariably to expand towards the North, in a manner that's not only unhistorical but also tedious for his repetitiveness. I don't say that nations should be strictly railroaded toward a single, specific objective but, at least, it would b...

Manpower and slaves

It seems evident that the manpower pool of a nation depends on the numbers of its population.
But I haven't still understood if only citizens are counted in this respect or also slaves.
Anyone has any idea regarding this issue?

Re: Military Unit Creation Location

Maybe it really works as loki says. In the routine firstly new units are generated in the province, then attacks happens (firstly regarding units outside the walls, expecially if the attacker hasn't set the storming option), if no attack is ongoing the new units reach the existing stack inside the w...

Re: Province conquered by the enemy with the support of population

I'll try to have a closer look at the messages but what seems strange is that, though I won the first battle and conquered the region, then I was ousted from it without any confrontation with the new Macedonian army, which in the meantime arrived there. I just found my army retreating to another reg...

Re: Sandbox Campaign suggestions

I'd like it if every second battle in the campaign were against mixed other historical enemies, rather than just your chosen "nemesis" enemy. I've only played a couple of campaigns so far but they were both mainly focused on the one enemy I chose at the start. Or better still make it a checkbox so ...

Province conquered by the enemy with the support of population

During T65 of my Epirote campaign I invaded Aetolia with a 41 pt. army and defeated the Macedonian 28 pt. army stationed there. At the end of the turn, though, I found Macedonia has conquered the region "with the support of the population" and now the region is in Macedonian hands with a 59 pt. army...

What about a naval DLC with naval units (Galleys and such) and sea/costal/island maps for naval battles and mixed battles (naval+land) ?
This one would be really great! :!:

Registering the game from Steam

For a mistake I bought FoG II on Steam instead of Slitherine but after some months, for various reasons, would like to run it outside that platform. Is it possible? Is it enough to register it on the member club page? And, in this case, where do I find the serial number required to register? Thanks ...

I'm finding great problems in getting the update and still can't join the fray ... If you register the game on Steam it is done automatically....saves all the grief with installers. Thank's Ian. Without your suggestion I wouldn't have solved the problem 'cause my antivirus didn't let me r...

Re: Hyping up Epirus ... a partial AAR

Hi loki! You say "I have plenty of money but this will slow pop growth" ... What is the rationale behind this statement? I didn't know that money blocked pop growth or am I missing something in the mechanism of the game? On the other hand - given that I'm also playing a SP Epirus campaign, though wi...

Re: How to increase manpower

Thanks guys. To be honest I tried with enhancing the number of population but it does seem to have a very very limited effect on manpower while, on the other hand, it seems there are really few buildings helping this way. I fear it will end up with my Epirote campaign stalling for lack of soldiers ....
