It is based on that engine yes but will have some changes.

This is definitely aimed at the lighter end of the strategy market. It's a bit different to iOS and PC because it is a retail release and it has a very different economic model. Game sold directly online are where the more hardcore strategy games will be. Retail requires a different kind of approach. That's not to say it wont be a great game and have lots of interesting strategy in it but it is at the lighter end. It is not going to compete with War in the East. It is more in line with Great Battle Medieval level of complexity. It is an entry level wargame that people unfamiliar with these types of games should be able to play but more experienced players will obviously be much better at it.

Ineresting, I had seen this via my PS3 and decided to check out the demo only to find it was a PSP demo and I was shit, I thought it was a PS3 demo.

Doesn't look too bad on first glance. But I have botched first glances in my time.

I'll wait for more info.
