Just 10 weeks after their victory at Soor the Prussians are again attacking the Austrians, this time at Kesseldorf.

Can the Austrians win this time?

The Prussian player to again set up the battel, password 1745;

Doyley50 against awesum4

Gribol against Ciberpencho

Dilly against Ironclad

LinkinBrick against PeterthePainter

SMJohnso77 against W_Michael

Can you check if the player pairs have been entered correctly?
Were the Prussians and Austrians teams permanent or do they change?
Because I see a little confusion in the fixed battles in the ladder.

I don't know much about 18th century warfare, but these scenarios are fun and generally simpler because of the limited variety of unit types. I still think that dragoons are not categorized properly, and there is no progression of 18th century technology, but they are great scenarios.

You are right to be confused - so am I. I had thought we would stay in the same side as we started with - and in that connection i have just set up a challenge for Dilly assuming I was still playing Prussia. However reflecting on the Round 2 list my name is shown as second - does that mean Dilly is playing the Prussians and me the Austrians?

Clarification please?

Set up your Prusians, Gribol.
Good luck and protect yourself from the cold, the bonfires are on my side.

My apologies.

The teams are fixed.

Ironclad is Prussian against Ciberpencho's Austrians and sets up the game.

PeterthePainter is Prussian against LinkinBrick's Austrians.

Maybe i will try:

Doyley50 against awesum4
Gribol against Ciberpencho
Ironclad against Dilly
PeterthePainter against LinkinBrick
SMJohnso77 against W_Michael

Is that correct?

Hello. I'm a little confused, I have a game started with Gribol (sorry, but we started before Awesun's correction) and I have another with my name prepared by Ironclad, but I can't start with the password 1745 that Awesun wrote down.
Any new information?
Greetings.

We don't need to play the game as the list showing us as opponents in Round 2 was wrong. See amended list above. If the challenge is still there I will delete it.

Ok, I'm already playing with Gribol. Delete the challenge, please.

The surprising Austrian attack on the center of the Prussian positions was met with accurate fire from disciplined Prussian veterans. And the battle was lost by the Austrians, their reinforcements did not manage to reach the battlefield in time.
So Prussia is once again victorious in its march to glory!

The Austrians have repulsed the Prussian attack on Kesseldorf.
The Prussians held back from attacking the town itself and were slow to attack on their right. The Austrians pulled back on the otherside of the town while racing forward with their strung out right wing. The artillery in the town pounded the Prussian centre as they went in and massed volleys against selected units followed by cavalry charges broke the Prussian army.

Congratulations Gribol, the Austrian right didn't have time to execute its move and the resistance of the centre didn't help much, good game.
Another defeat for the Austrians, who have no luck with their commanders :-)

Congratulations to SMJohnso77 (Prussian) against W_Michael (Austrian).

The Austrians won the cavalry battles on the flanks by depleting the cavalry in the centre. Unfortunately for the Austrians, it was too late to save the great battle in the centre.

Peter the Painter has bested my Austrians with his Prussians. It was a close and bloody battle.

We were outshooting them well enough, until the blood on our uniforms ruined our camouflage.

Sorry for the delayed report I have been dealing with the wounded and securing the prisoners. The Austrians suffered 60% casualties to the 46% suffered by the Prussians. To put this in context we also played the battle with sides reversed and Linkinbrick won by 19-44. In both cases the Prussians blew away the Austrian centre before the Austrian right could come to the rescue. A tough fight for the Austrians.

Well played to my opponent.
