As Venitii I got a trade deal offer from Britonae:
Give: 50 manpower, 50 metal, 150 gold for Armorican Javeliners
If I make a counter offer:
Give: 15 manpower, 50 metal, 130 gold for Armorican Javeliners
the transaction chance is down to 3%. That makes no sense.
Additional note: it would be quite helpful to give the stats of the unit (in this case: gold 14 (+75), manpower 15, equipment 10) requested in the same window to be able to evaluate the offer. Else you have to jump out of this dialogue and click your way to military and back.

Re: Strange trade deal
More strange stuff: I've asked the Belgae for one of their regions which is an objective to me. But this 'offer' was on my side of the deal?!? Transaction probability was 82%.
Next turn they had agreed to the deal but I didn't get the region. Instead my objective moved somewhere else and the Belgae were a bit grumpy (-2).

Re: Strange trade deal
Did you use Relinquish Objective or Cede Region? In former case, the clause worked as intended, but the description may need some improvement. This is meant to cancel an objective held by the other side.poesel71 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 7:57 pm More strange stuff: I've asked the Belgae for one of their regions which is an objective to me. Re: Strange trade deal
I used relinquish objective. If this is meant to cancel an objective it is indeed badly worded. And IMHO doesn't make much sense. Why would/could I ask a foreign nation to cancel MY objective?
Ah - now I understand why this is an OFFER. What I'm doing here is to offer a foreign nation not to envy a province of theirs anymore. Ok, good mechanic, but badly worded.
Still leaves the point that the Belgae were unhappy about that deal although I didn't ask anything of them.

Re: Strange trade deal
It is common in strategy games that a deal, if proposed by the AI has a much higher chance to happen than the same deal, or even a better one, proposed by the AI. I don't plan to change that because it is safer this way. There is a 'bonus' to accepting an AI request.
I'll see how to reword the clause better.

Ok, I see the danger in giving the same chances. Most likely the Player will extort the AI. But only 3% on a deal the AI just has offered me? That seems harsh and makes deals with the AI unlikely.
