Division D
lydianed (Gepid) defeated phoyle3290 (Jewish Revolt) 42-9
The best jewish troops weren't able to influence the battle and the Gepids, being more mobile, were able to exploit weak points in the Jewish line. Thanks for the game.

Division D
General Kostas (Greek 460-281 BC) defeats General Shapur (Indian 500BC-319AD) 47-18
It was a great game. I decided to attack to the whole enemy's battle line with an outflank movement against Indian's left flank. The Indian Mass Archers are deadly in fire volleys, so i had to move quickly against them. But, General Shapur attacked first in the center with his Heavy Chariots, Elephants and the Foot troops. Elephants and chariots are able to disorder your battle line with great gaps between units.

Division A
Sunnyboy (Phoenician 681-539 BC) beat youngr (Syracusan 530-461 BC) 40-14
After plan A (overly ambitious encircling chariot manoeuvre) was thwarted before it began by the Sicilians initial moves. Plan B (hide in the hills) was activated. Fortunately for the Phoenician his skirmishers encouraged a vigorous pursuit by the enemy hoplites that left them at the base of some significant slopes and at a disadvantage throughout the fight.
Thanks for the game Richard!

Division D
Rob123 (Romano British) defeated uneducated (Jewish 64BC-6AD) 66-45.
This battle was constrained by mountains and a large lake so that when the two armies met there was little finesse. It was a stand and die slog until almost the end when the Jewish force ran out of units to throw into the meat grinder.
Thanks for the game.

Re: Early Middle Ages: winners post your results here
My Polish cavalry desperately try to Ride of the Rohirrim to the Rescue. But they're not quite fast enough to save the Polish infantry as it gets steadily murdered by SEVEN Huscarl units advancing uphill........
We should all Stand With Ukraine.

Division B
rexhurley (Numidian/Moors) defeats devoncop (Antiginod) 42/17.
Tough game and the wily Greek knew not to hide in the open so withdrew to a wood in a far corner and hunkered the pikes down in squares. it almost worked as I didn't have the room to work in I needed however finally after 7 turns of heroic resistance the medium infantry snapped causing a cascade across 4 units giving me the win. Thank you for battling to the end Ian you almost got the draw

Re: Poll on new "Allies" feature
I would like it to be possible to choose an ally that may change in each game. This way one can make up for deficiencies in an army vs a variety of opponents. Do you think this is doable?
