So was only one army of each nationality allowed (regardless of the multiple versions for different years) or something else? public posting here just so we can clarify for next time.

i guess i can take my lumps with the hephthalites...but anyone that beats me there's an astrick by your victory!
Only one army list per nation is allowed in each division, as Ptolemaic, Arab and Roman lists were all selected before you you were left with your 4th selection.

funny i've been in the FDL for 6 yrs and always thought if it was a separate list in the "armies allowed" that it could be chosen without being impacted by others choices. guess i've been asleep. that really limits it, and makes it much more gamey...i could have picked an army to mess with my opponents, so they didn't get their selection and i get mine but was thinking i was out of everyone's way...well with this army i should be guaranteed an earlier selection next season  i tried the kushans a couple seasons ago as an experiment...they were fun but really struggled with HF based armies. I'll try to remember to pack extra arrows and horse fodder

Yes, this is the right answer. It does mean that players who are likely to receive their army towards the end of the army allocation process do need to think hard about their 3rd and 4th selections. In that Late Antiquity division the four highest rated players got either their third or fourth choice. This was a bit out of the ordinary, to be honest, as in both the C and D divisions in Late Antiquity 18 out of 20 players got their first choice and the other 2 got their second choice.

Themed Event arrange your matches here . . .

Post by stockwellpete »

Instructions

Matches in this section are played to a tighter schedule and must be prioritised above matches from other sections. Please start all your group stage matches by Sunday 9th June and finish them by Friday 28th June . The knock-out matches will be allowed 14 days for completion. Unfinished matches will be subject to adjudication.

The group stage matches are single battles, while the knockout stage of the tournament will use paired games ("mirror matches") to decide who progresses to the next round.

Either player may set up the challenge in this section. Remember to PM your opponent as well as placing the challenge and password in this thread.

The final % scores for each player are taken from the in-battle display in the top left-hand corner of the screen and not the Final Losses screen that appears after the battle has ended where losses are adjusted for wounded and deserted troops.

Reporting the result of a match is the responsibility of the winning player. However, if you are the loser in a match and notice that the result has not been posted within 24 hours please post the result yourself. This helps to keep the league tables up to date.

Where players finish with the same number of points at the end of the group stage, the points aggregate from the matches between those player will be used to decide the final places in the group table. If this does not separate the players then lots will be drawn to determine which player(s) proceed to the next stage of the competition.

Please be sure to familiarise yourself with both the Rules of Competition and the Players' Guide.

You don't have to remove or replace your mods. Biblical uses the MP TT mod 1.5.3 and no other mods are used in the tournament.

See this post for an explanation of how mods work in FOG2:

viewtopic.php?f=477&t=89879

Basically, mods such as the TT Mod do not affect the base game in anyway. They are only in effect if you actually select to play the mod!

The TT mod 1.5.3 will be used for the entirety of Season 5 in the Biblical section. This means that the adjustments to the cost of units in several armies (contained in the latest patch) will not be in effect this season.
