Hi
In the attached image the 'field' NW of Auzia is outside of the city influence 'Cross' and seems to generate no food. I connected a road but it didn't seem to help. Do I need to wait for the city to grow and have the highlight cover the field? Thanks loving this game ...
Do roads connect Fields the same way they connect Mines to cities?

Hello,
cities harvest food and wood only from their so called "city range" (white tiles highlighted around the city). You need to let the city grow to use that field.

I think the other question raised here is whether adding a road to a field, once the field is within the city range/white tiles, brings any additional food in from the field tile just as roads increase resources gained from a mine.
I believe the answer is "no" but wanted to check.
Great game.
