Also, you may give you railroad transported unis some more protection... So here you have the BR 57 armored locomotive icon... This one was made by me using some scale models images taken from the internet.

Might there be a "switchable" submarine out there?
I was thinking of putting stats like this on it...
Surfaced Mode - Move 5/6. Spot 3. Normal detection. Recon Trait.
Submerged Mode - Move 2. Spot 2. Camo Trait.

Ah, I have just seen it. Actually in my mod I have three modes for U-boats: surfaced, dived to periscope depth, and deep dived.AnalogGamer wrote:Might there be a "switchable" submarine out there?
I have unit icons for the most numerous German, British and Soviet submarines when surfaced like these:
German Type VII: Soviet Shchuka class: and a few others.
When at periscope depth they all have the same periscope icon as all periscopes look quite the same at this scale (and a ghostly silhouette of a sub just under the surface of the water): When dived deep, their icon is empty as they cannot be seen from the surface.

Re: Put your unit requests here please
Request idea just popped into my head. It may already exist.
German marines. Switchable from ground unit to landing craft in either direction at any non-river/lake shoreline hex.
Example. Starts battle in landing craft. lands as usual at any shore hex. Can re-load at ANY shore hex instead of requiring a port.

Good idea.
I've some UK Commandos that switch to a river boat (the commandos have BEng trait, and the plan was to switch on rivers). However, I haven't finished the scenario I was going to try them out in so can't comment on effectiveness. Landing craft sounds a better option for general shoreline, but maybe a three way switch to allow travel up river or shore landing.

The landing craft for a German Marine Infantry unit would be the MFP (Marine Fahr Prahm)... Une of the units that is waiting in my to-do list...

I will wait for this unit icon.guille1434 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 28, 2018 5:47 pm The landing craft for a German Marine Infantry unit would be the MFP (Marine Fahr Prahm)... Une of the units that is waiting in my to-do list...
I would also like to see the AFP version.

Re: Put your unit requests here please
Not so much a unit request, as a request for advice and counsel from unit-makers and modders.
I am using easy, non-mod, work-arounds to make a vanilla scenario with plenty of variation. I want Partisans to occasionally pop up throughout, in close terrain, and then interdict rear areas. Here is my editor-based work-around...
Auxiliary Soviet Mtn Troops - Max strength 6, Experience 175, +2 Move, +1 Spot, +3 Defense. Reasoning - Light attack, nimble, hard to kill in one shot from likely pursuit.
I want to make a train-stopper and empty airfield-taker. Just a general nuisance.
Any advice on a better unit choice or stat combination would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your attention.

For Germany: Leichttraktor, Panther II, E 50, E75, E 100, Jagdpanzer E 25, Jagdpanzer E 75, Jagdpanzer E 100.
For Russia: IS-3 (they say it is, but I can't find it anywhere, not even with "all eqp"), ISU-152-2 (BL-10 gun), IS-4, IS-7, T-44.
For USA: T95, T29, T32.
Some of them may be immediately after WW2, but it would be fun for "What if" experiments like Germany pushing the Allies back from Berlin.

Re: Put your unit requests here please
I would love to see some PanzerGrenadier/Mechanized Infantry Icons.
For Germany: SdKfz. 251 with infantry around
For USSR: T-34 with Infantry around
For US: M3 half-track with infantry around.

Re: Put your unit requests here please
How are either of these?
Re: Put your unit requests here please
The inf were a little too high against the vehicle on that first try. Maybe they are a little easier to see now.
Re: Put your unit requests here please
Some T-34s with tank riders?
Re: Put your unit requests here please
Those look perfect. Now I just have to figure out how to put them in the game:)
Re: Put your unit requests here please
Give this a try. I think there is another thread as well but I can't remember how to find it.

Re: Put your unit requests here please
I would ask that the SdKfz 7 be available for Infantry and that the SdKfz 7 also have an SE variant. Thanks.

Hello Von Runstedt:
Here are some re-worked icons for the Sdkfz.7 in regular Heer, SS and desert colors... I think I uploaded them before, but here are the icons again. Greetings!
