Excellent news the original rules play so well for the Italian Wars.

Actually , the original rules play well in any period and maybe the only changes that needed to be made are the ones incorporated here.

Can we cope with two 'Enerys? Will they have to be Henry VIII.1 and Henry VIII.2?Vespasian28 wrote:Both you and 'Enery will be most welcome Don.

Re: Southern League FOGR 2017 at Southampton
I would love to have attended, especially give I have a Henry VIII Tudor English that I have yet to use under FoGR but sadly that is my club's show so I am duty bound to help out. Have fun.
Re: Southern League FOGR 2017 at Southampton
I can confirm Tom, Jerry and I will be coming. I am waiting on Paddy to let me know.

Excellent although still not sure which Bruce you are; the only one I know is Rollett so apologies for my ignorance.
Seems an opportune time for a reminder that lists are due in to Alasdair, at the e-mail address above, no later than Friday September 8th please.

That is Bruce Rollett.
I can also confirm that Paddy Bray is coming. So what are the numbers looking like.
Is the Oxford Group going to take all the prizes again?

Re: Southern League FOGR 2017 at Southampton
Numbers so far stand at nineteen but that includes Ben and Nigel who were hoping to attend so I still have them as tbc at the moment. As per last year I am not including myself so I can step in to even up numbers if necessary.
Hopefully there may be a more even representation on the podium but as you guys come so far it would have been churlish to send you home empty handed!

Well at least that made it easier to sort a list out. Mine is now in on time!Vespasian28 wrote:After careful consideration we have decided that this years Southampton round will be a last hurrah for FOGR rules, lists and points as written. So we will not be using any of the amendments excepting those which reflect, on the whole, what has been pretty much in use for some time now, namely:
Artillery hit mounted on 5+
Artillery can no longer shoot through friendly LF
Light artillery can move as part of a division
Captured Artillery removed in JAP phase
For every base of heavy or medium artillery 6 bases of Foot battle troops must be taken(Later Ottoman Turks and N African States are exempt from this restriction)

Some interesting choices of armies. Not seen Irish or Anglo-Irish on the table for FOG R.
Less Scots than I expected.

It's almost as if the spirit of Nigel had been invoked......
From the date, I'm guessing Ben's Jocks have French allies.
