Chatter is rife in the royalist camp... thank goodness for the level-headed, quiet contemplation of our puritan congregation

Patience and prayer are the order of the day Danny.... be of stout heart and an iron puritan will and you shall overcome!

Well the fight's just begun but it's not looking good boys. Kelen's foot are safely parked on a hill. My left wing horse is about to get overrun, leaving my flank open to charges. On my right, my horse are defending a hill and managing to hold out, while commanded shot and dragoons pepper his cavaliers. Still, even if this wing is successful, I'm not sure if it will be in time to save the center... I know that theoretically, my foot are better; but we have equal numbers of foot, and, while 3 of his units are either early royalist or raw, he also has 2 veterans and one musketeers. Thus, a head on advance uphill into open country may not be wise, especially as the hedges provide protection against the looming threat of cavaliers.

I'm at a loss as to how to deal with the cavaliers, really, besides lucky disruptions from commanded shot and dragoons.

My experience is to max the Infantry and have minimum Cavalry. Place the Cav in terrain with Commanded Shot.
The Superior Pistol will stand up to the Cavalier Cav, the Average get run over quickly in the open.
When picking your force max out the Raw Pike & Shot to give more firepower.
Good luck with the fight.

KerryD and LFDLM could use some help. Looks to be plenty of space in the Midlands & SE Counties where, I'm sure, there will be plenty to do.

Danny, You need to go cap in hand to your peers and hope they value your support enough to give up a county to call your home county...this is where your army will restart from but you need to achieve this before the end of the month if you wish to move next month... good luck!

That's why more Generals are needed there so that more of those vacant counties can be occupied.

I am in deep poo , surrounded by Royalists !

Where are the armies now , are they in the last place they moved too ?
Does that leave my home County without an army ?
If i give Monmouthshire (42) to Danny then are they 2 armies in that County
that can move ?

You are welcome Danny but its a bit bleak here in Wales at the moment.....

Sorry, Ian you're in no position to give Danny a county as the only one you can is your home county (43) and your army occupies (42). home counties do not have an army....it's presumed your 1000 pt army is the force from your home county. If you view the map in the common thread it shows the current sate of army positions.

What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
