Designed a rudimentary campaign map and was going in to test how it handled bare bones and I got the following error:

Scratch that. It does indeed break using the live version on Steam (I was testing on my current build, so I guess it is fixed at our end now!). I will work out what is happening.

OK, so there is a bug in one of the internal scripts which causes a crash when the abilities are not set up. We will fix the script for the next update. For now you should be able to fix it by creating a DATA/BATTLE/SCRIPTS folder in your campaign. Copy the ABILITYHELPERS.BSF file from the DATA/UI folder in your install. Then open your version and change line 1369 from
return 0 ;
to
return "" ;
And it should work!
I would also recommend copying in the VAR lines from one of the existing campaign.txt files (inside the campaigns) to your campaign.txt file, as they are used to track abilities etc.
