The list deadline is fast approaching. It's this weekend.

So far I have lists from 7 people. I'm going to be away for most of next week, so unless I get them all by Saturday, I won't be able to produce R&R until the following weekend at the earliest.

I have received lists from:
Bob Medcraft
Bruce Rollett
Alasdair Harley
Paul Kitcher
Adrian Steer
Marc Roberts
(The 7th is mine)

If your name isn't included and you've sent me a list please send it again. If you haven't sent me a list yet, please do so ASAP. If you've sent more than one, please let me know which one you want to use.

Cheers,

Kevin

Hi guys,

As always, the BHGS Challenge is open for your entertainment from Friday afternoon. David and I could do with a few early arrivals, as we will have approximately 150 tables to set up and dress, as well as welcome you all to the event, get you booked in etc. If you are around from mid-afternoon, please can you let me know (private email - no need to reply on list).

Of course, we are only asking for a little help as part of the fun:-

Chris Hanley has promised to be there with the highlight of my wargaming year - Biggles. Beautiful planes, a fantastic game and laughs-a-plenty.

Added to which, Nigel Emsen is going to set up his Napoleonic version of his new ruleset Hordes of Models and Buckets of Dice (HOMABOD), for you all to take part in Waterloo-vignette using 54mm figures! Should be great, and I hope that he will have plenty of eager try-outs. The rules cover all scales, from 6mm to as big as you like, so if you get a taste for it, they will suit your current collections. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hordes-Models-B ... 1511581999

And, of course, once the tables are up you can get going on those grudge matches and last-minute practice sessions, or maybe set up a few mini- or maxi-games?

There will be lots of us there on the Friday night (we currently have 43 booked), so I am looking forward to plenty of social fun before the "serious business" (!) starts on Saturday morning.

Cheers,

Tim Child

Hi all,

We have lots of people staying over at the Uni on the Friday and Saturday nights, and it is great to have Challenge back on a residential footing again.

If anyone still wants to book accomodation we do need to finalise numbers. You can do it at the moment by booking the "Accomodation only" option on Eventbrite (which is just a freebie marker to tell me you're "in") and emailing me with what you need (Fri/Sat, B&B/Full Board). I will then email payment details back to you.

However, in order to do that I need your bookings and email by Thursday please - we will not be able accept late accomodation bookings after that.

Friday, as always, is your practice and fun-time. I hope we'll have banter and battles going on all over the shop, as well as plenty of interest for Nigel Emsen and his HOMABOD Waterloo.

For Saturday night, we are all usually too knackered for anything serious, but do bring along something fun and get some light-hearted boardgames or whatever in the company of the 80-ish overnighters on Saturday.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Interesting Eastern section in that pool, 2 Russians (from the same club, is this a club bet, take the same army, who will come highest), a Pole, Cossacks, Hungarian and a Swede. Could either be a competition by itself or the start of a massively racially inappropriate joke!
Have fun all!

Central London Wargames Club collected results clearly demonstrate that any suggestion that members are in any way competitive (either with each other or with the rest of the world) is risible.
