Try dropping the cav attachments first. That should get you closer to 800. Drop a superior horse to average and use them to provide rear support for the superior horse, or give the average an officer so they still get the re-rolls in combats.

Other thought would be if you can make the shock cav average or replace with Dragoons. Superior Vet is an expensive combo. Dragoons will still count as heavier vs light cav so you get that bonus, just lose the extra dice for taking on light horse. I have trounced many Francais light cavalry units with dragoons.

Also, consider using SD Shock HC instead of the SV. Sure, rallying isn't as good but they are 12pts a unit cheaper and every bit as nasty on assault. That saves 24pts.

Combined with dropping one of the SD LC units to AD, makes for 36pts saved.

Then drop 1 cav attachment and you're there !
