Should we allow the polish army to rail their units in Case White? I mean why this is not allowed? Case White was not a cakewalk for the germans so they have to fight hard against polish army. Right now some axis player rush into Holland and Belgium in 1939 because Poland is so easy to take but this was not so historically. Germans had really to focus their efforts here and by not mean they could have attempted a simultaneous invasion of Low Countries whilst still fighting in Poland.
Allowing the poles to rail units will force the axis player to focus the effort in defeating them as soon as possible and then to completely forget any adventure in the west until spring 1940 or winter 1939-40 at the earliest but never simultaneously.
No balance issues here because the railed units will be mainly garrison units stationed in Eastern Poland.

Well, this proposed change could delay the fall of Warsaw by a turn or two. In the early game that can make a big difference. Let's not make the Germans' task more difficult, since they need all of the head start advantages they can muster.
Re: Poland 1939 campaign
To be honest Germany didn't have much problems in Poland except with their logistics. Most armored divisions had to pause for a few days simply due to lack of fuel, not because they had difficulties on the front line.
There were a few brave battles but Polish Army was overrun mostly in first 7 days - 1st and 4th armored reached Warsaw on September 8th and had to stop because they run out of fuel.

Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.

Concerning Warsaw, while it is true that the Germans reached it rather quickly, they learned the hard way that it isn't smart to attack cities without proper infantry support. The capital fell on 28th, not in the first or the second week.
Re: Poland 1939 campaign
They didn't really attack the city untill around Sept 20th. What was the point here is that Polish forces didn't use rail transport tactically so I think current situation is historical.Cybvep wrote:Concerning Warsaw, while it is true that the Germans reached it rather quickly, they learned the hard way that it isn't smart to attack cities without proper infantry support. Countries that are DoW'ed during fair weather are surprised and can't use rail movement on the first turn.
