Both Batesmotel and Tivals may now choose another army list and get an additional IC
If you didn't know Batesmotel fought 7 battles and won 3 with 1 still going. Tiavals fought 6 and won 4. I fought both and won both while everyone else fought 3 or 2 battles. Basically the leadership chart doesn't mean much, it's more to do with how many battles you fight and how well you win as Tiavals has won one more game than me and is 500 pts ahead, I've played one more game. Kind of interesting don't you think.

If you didn't know Batesmotel fought 7 battles and won 3 with 1 still going. Tiavals fought 6 and won 4. I fought both and won both while everyone else fought 3 or 2 battles. Basically the leadership chart doesn't mean much, it's more to do with how many battles you fight and how well you win as Tiavals has won one more game than me and is 500 pts ahead, I've played one more game. Kind of interesting don't you think.

To Tame a Land Redux
A Campaign for Field of Glory
Decline and Fall
Background
The Emperor is old and frail, his grip upon affairs weakens. Already there have been a few small uprisings, not full-blown rebellion, but anarchy none the less for that. What the Land needs is a strong hand at the Emperor’s side, a Warlord who can keep the people united and foreign threats at bay. The Noble Houses have issued the call to arms and civil war is at hand...
The Campaign
To win the campaign a player must amass 2500 Renown, thereby gaining the support of the Emperor’s Council and the people to become Warlord. Renown is gained and lost on the battlefields of the civil war.
Each player starts with 250 Renown. Should this drop below zero, the player’s faction no longer has enough support to continue as a Major House and becomes a vassal (see below).
Each faction starts with one Inspired Commander. Additional ICs will join a faction at 750 and 1500 renown. Dead ICs cannot be replaced in any way.
Each turn represents one season. Seasons have no particular effect on the game, they are just a way of keeping track of time. A player must attack one other faction during their turn. During the first season, each player will fight two battles against randomly selected opponents, as their loyalists begin the descent into civil war.
The Map
The map is a graphical representation of the current levels of support for each faction. It has no strategic function in the campaign but is there for flavour. Each ‘block’ of 250 renown above 250 will cause a previously neutral province to declare for the player.
All players start with one province that they will keep, unless they drop below zero renown. A second province is acquired at 500, the third at 750, etc. If a player should drop back below a threshold, a province will revert to neutral or declare for another player.
Armies and Battles
Each Faction (player) starts with two available army lists from ‘Decline and Fall’. Either list may be used in each battle and can be tailored as required; army composition is not fixed in any way.
Further lists will become available as Renown increases, and more forces flock to the Faction’s banner. The thresholds for an additional list are 750 and 1500 Renown.
Battles should be fought with Fog of war and Double moves ON. The attacker should host a 500 point battle. Either player may opt to use fewer points to gain extra renown (see below). Commanders may only be ‘Field’ or ‘Troop’ unless the player decides that their IC will take the field. In this case they must select an Inspired commander but, if the commander is killed, the player takes a hit on renown - there are only so many truly great commanders, try not to get them killed! Taking the field also scores extra renown (see below).
Vassals
If your score drops below zero, you automatically become vassal to the faction that you were playing against (unless they also drop below zero after the same battle). As a vassal, you may not attack your overlord unless they attack you first. While your renown is below zero, 20% of any renown scored goes to your overlord and you retain 80%. Once your renown is above zero, there is no renown penalty for being a vassal though the attacking restriction is still in place. These rules apply each time renown drops below zero, with the new vassalage completely replacing the old one, including the attacking restriction.
If both factions drop below zero in the same battle, they become Minor Houses, gaining 75% of renown scored until above zero. No other faction gains renown from their actions.

Other Rules
After the end of the second season, you cannot attack a faction that was more than (number of players/2) positions below you on the leader board at the end of the previous season on consecutive turns.
Example: with six players, the player in the lead could not attack 5th or 6th place on consecutive turns, they would have to fight 2nd, 3rd or 4th place before they could look further down the scoreboard.

No leaders died and Tiavals lost his camp.
I started by havving my lancers charging away at will only to find they had rubber spears till it hit 16:0 when we sacrificed a chicken to the dice gods and two turns later we were in the lead . As the battle neared it's conclusion though Tiavals sacrificed a goat, yes goat trumps chicken, and the battle started to swing his way, mainly as my spears just up and run. In the end though the fickle gods decided they didn't like goat and came very close to giving a draw. Full points to that lone spearman who fought 3:1 and still won
What more can you say, got to hate the dice in this game.
