It is not something you buy.

A campaign is run by someone and you play DAG games based on it.

Example:

Decline and Fall Campaign: One person organizes it and runs it, the rest of us have our armies (Romans or Gauls or others) and the campaign organizer let's us know who ends up fighting who.

Thanks for the fast answer. I play most time people general and campaigns works there in other way.
I m not a onlinegamer so the campaigns are nothing for me. But by the way this game is really , really great.

If you watch the forum here (and Tournaments) you may see one that interests you. Summer tends to be quiet. Things get busier during the Fall and Winter.

I have a friend who is trying to work up a Tony Bath style campaign complete with zillions of index cards with family trees and randomized character traits. Are there any automated aids out there for that kind of thing? I've searched online with no luck (though some of the fantasy character generators are cute, they don't apply).

I find the tactical game much more fun that I'd imagined, (though rather too much work for giant games). Yes, I'm lazy. And that's one of my better traits.

Are there any automated strategic campaign games at all?
