Re: Chariotfest
Hi Richard,
Just a quick battle result. The early Kyreneans defeated the Egyptians in a really close slugfest, 39/36 (100%) Egypt, Kryreneans 36/38, (94.7%).
Great game, Danny!

Re: Chariotfest
Due to the God of Dice and to the fact that i choosed the terrain for both battles i was able to claim a victory over Ian.
My Indians 47% vs IMC's Kyreneans 100%
My Kyreneans 20% vs IMC's Indians 100%.
Thanks for the game Ian. It is always nice to meet you on the battlefield
I just realized that i cheated (but without to actually know it). Reading the rules again i saw that i had to use 6 HEAVY chariots/or scythed/or wagon. On my indian army i used 2 wagons and 4 LIGHT chariots. Knowing a little bit Ian, i am sure he realized it, but his courtesy prevent him from referring to it. So i am willing - and it is the right thing- to accept this pair of battles as a lose for me. Sorry Ian it was not on purpose.

Thanks Kostas. I was well beaten in both games. Well played. Must do better with these wooden rigs and horses it seems. IMCNikiforosFokas wrote:Due to the God of Dice and to the fact that i choosed the terrain for both battles i was able to claim a victory over Ian.

Group B Result
iandavidsmith (Classical Indian 1) 36/48 (75%) beat MikeMarchant (Early Achaemenid Persian (Cyrus) 1) 29/29 (100%)
Both sides outflanked each other and got behind the lines , but the Indians where able to run away faster until
the Persian army finally broke , great close game.

Sorry, didn't specify which army I'd be taking. I'll take the Early Carthaginian if Londo has no issues with taking Kyrenean Greek.

That's fine Jonathan, Londo said he didn't want the Carthaginians anyway.Jonathan4290 wrote:Sorry, didn't specify which army I'd be taking. I'll take the Early Carthaginian if Londo has no issues with taking Kyrenean Greek.

Londo (Kyrene) 14/43 - Enakan (India) 38/35
Londo (India) 25/45 - Enakan (Kyrene) 49/43
The biggest lesson from these games - never put bullock carts (poor war wagons) anywhere near the enemy!

Good games Londo!
And I learned to take more units of Indians.....not just elephants with clowns dancing alongside! Small isn't better!

Re: Chariotfest
I've started my games with Jon. As Early Carthaginians, I took, in the spirit of maximum chariotising, Libyan allies, and a total of 12 wheeled contraptions (6 heavies, 6 lights).
Beat that, cucks!

I applaud your spirit Londo, but the award currently goes to allendeuce who fielded 6 heavies and 9 lights in his Kyrenean army against me. The sound of squeaking axles was deafening! ANybody managed more than 6 heavies yet?Londo wrote:I've started my games with Jon. Edmund: there appears to be an inconsistency between your first few posts and the most recent few. Are we using the early or later Kyrenean list?

Hi Jonathan, different people are using different versions to give more variety to the army choice. The army you were left with is 10. Early Carthaginian 2. Londo is using 11. Kyrenean Greek (Later)Jonathan4290 wrote:Edmund: there appears to be an inconsistency between your first few posts and the most recent few. Are we using the early or later Kyrenean list?
Hope that helps
