I have had a problem with not being able to play any scenarios from battlepak1 and downloading and installing other scenarios, as well as not being able to edit or craeate scenarios on the game for 3 or more years now.

I had contacted yourselves in the past and was told to uninstall game, books etc and reinstall. I did so but still no success and unfortunately you could not help any further.

I am back playing once more and hoped that I could do above but no.

When I right click on FOG icon and open file loaction, a battlepak 1 folder is in there with all listed games. I am a bit stuck on how to be able to use this and play scenarios,

How to get a DxDiag report file:

1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8 press “Windows key” and the “R” key at the same time)
2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8 )
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments (zip) rather than pasted into the body of the post.

I have windows vista home premium so using windows 7.
Computer is nearly 9 years old now and have had problems with over the last few years, getting worse as I think the mult core processor? is about to die.

Did a dxdiag test and saved on desktop and attached but "extension text is not allowed".

zip the file and then attach to post, i maybe able to help, but as you have already pointed out, pc and O/S isn't helping

Uninstall the game and reinstall.
Install 1.50 and then install the 1.8.1 update.
You can download them from your Member's area.

I thought I did this before and it did not work.

I uninstalled all including all books and reinstalled all before. It takes a very long time and once more it did not work.

Where is the member's area exactly please and if I uninstall will it delete all presnt games. I have one important game and it has nearly finished.

Please also note that for unlocking the expansions packs you only need to:

1. Double click the Field of Glory game icon (launcher) in the desktop
2. Click the "Serials…" button
3. Select the expansion pack you wish to unlock
4. Enter serial number for expansion pack
5. Select "Enter Serial"
6. Repeat the steps for each expansion you might have

When installing the base game install the game in a different folder than the one you had previously installed.

I have a battlepak folder with all of the games on it.

I had played a few in the past

However can not find the serial number for it, have serial numbers for all other books.

Just wondering if it was an intro package. "Play for 30 days and then buy". I did not buy battlepak?

I am a bit of a dummy with reference to a pc. "When installing the base game install the game in a different folder than the one you had previously installed". How do I do that please.

During the installation of the game, and after having inserted the game serial number, you'll be required to provide the installation path. Instead of using the default path (C:\Program Files (x86)\Field of Glory) for installing the game change it to something, like for example, C:\Games\Field of Glory.

Regarding the Battlepack expansion, you'll have to contact us at support[at]slitherine.co.uk with your order reference number. If you don't have an order reference number and you haven't registered the expansion in your account, then I'm afraid we won't be able to find your game serial number.

Again the main reasons for my enquiry was to play scenarios in battlepak, to be able to create/edit/use scenario system and to be able to download and install new scenarios from the community.

As mentioned I uninstalled etc before and there was no change. Can you guarantee that if I spend a day uninstalling reinstalling that everything will be fine. If you can not then what back up would be required, what else could be done.

Then you haven't bought it. The serial number is always sent in a separate email, like the invoice.
Do you have the invoice for Battlepack?

No. These scenario files, and all the other expansions, are embedded in the updates.
So you can see the scenarios but you need a serial number to unlock them and play with them.
You can only have a serial number when you buy the expansion.

No we can never guarantee that it will work. If your issue is related with Battlepack then probably the issue is related with you not having bought and unlocked that expansion.

As I had posted I was able to play a number of the battlepak scenarios. So not sure how that was possible if I had not bought the game, unless it was a technical glitch.
