Not much to report, Italian navy attacks US invasion forces near Tunis and knocks the transport down to 5 steps. US navy knocks a Luftwaffe fighter down to 7 steps on Sardinia and minor damage to defending Italian forces on Sardinia and Sicily.

All quiet on the Eastern front!

North Africa is now totally in Allied hands. Italian SUBs make a counter all 4 of them and weaken the US CV so it has to retire to port. DDs bombard the coast of Sicily but have little effect.

Russians mount a small counter attack but losses are light on both sides.

Partisans are now starting to take a few Russian cities back but it won't last.

Baku under attack, we hold this time but can't for much longer, the Germans have 4 TAC units nearby with no Russian fighters remaining

The Kriegsmarine intercept the US transport headed for England and knock it down to 4 steps, the Allied DDs are not numerous enough to risk a straight fight at the moment.

Baku will fall next turn, managed to knock a German corps down to 3 steps but that's as good as it gets.

US Paras arrive at Cardiff but down to 1 Step due to the mauling they got in the Irish sea from the massed KM flotilla. Our aircraft are pretty uselss against this fleet, only taking down 5 steps in total for the loss of 6. More US paras and bombers headed across to the UK to try to help out in this area.

Most US ships are in the Med where we have control of the seas if you ignore the two Italian subs that are being a bit of a nuiscance but nothing too much to worry about.

Bombardment of Sicily and Sardinia continues, we need more planes in this theatre though.

6 USSR partisans spawn this turn, hopefully we can hold onto Russia long enough to at least force the Germans to commite troops to give Overlord some kind of chance once the weather improves.

Baku all but conquered, British units brought up to the borders in case the Germans decide to push into Persia.

Omsk still fairly quiet, preparing to defend.

Ready for the battle of Omsk, the Germans are now closing in for the kill.

The Russians field 6 MEC, 2 ARM and 4 Corps plus 2 GAR and a Para with a FTR that is almost destroyed. Their problem is lack of experience, almost all completely green.

The Allies contemplate launching Overlord and Huskey but cannot quite muster sufficient force yet to make it work, but they must launch before Russia falls or all is lost.

Turn 66 25th March 1943 - Fair Winter

UK 54 +102
USSR 81
USA 52

Total 187 (+3)

I would like to have launched OVerlord and Huskey now to support Russia before it falls but we need more Paras in the UK (currently just 1 UK, another US has docked at Liverpol this turn) and in the Med there are too many Italian Subs that would wreak havoc amongst the landing craft. 5 SUBS in total, we can possibly escort using DDs but I cannot see a weak spot in the Italian defences in which to land.

Russia can hold on another crucial couple of turns perhaps.

Lots of Partisans if only I could do something with them but most are pinned.
