I would say German tanks are best defenders ever. They have 11 survivability and 6 defense.

Fair point, although of course it depends on what labs you have bought. But you can't cover much ground with a given amount of PP; in the screenshot just before my post Morris seemed to have more open flank than he did front.

Sorry , still not get your point . Actually Axis pp in 1944 is decreasing very fast .

He probably meant that you can cover less ground with so many ARMs, because ARMs are much more expensive than INFs.

I also think the Germans would have lasted a bit longer by building more corps units instead of so many armor units. You can get 2.5 corps units per armor unit built. Those corps units have the same number of steps as the armor units.

With a wall of corps units you should be able to form a double defense line and that is harder to crack. You need a healthy armor reserve who can deal with spearheads so the double defense line can be reformed.

The main problem for the Axis is that the Allied air superiority can bombard the panzers so they cease to perform as intended. Get them down to orange or red efficiency and they can easily be picked up. Having many corps units means more targets for the Allies to kill. Each battle is easier for the Allies, but when you have 2.5 times the number of units to kill it will slow you down. Remember that the attacker loses efficiency per attack, even the tactical bombers. So they need to rest and repair sometimes.

Yep, that's what I was trying to say. But a lot less cogently.

Actually , I did not build any arm after 1942 . All present arms are survive from last several years ! & two of my counterattacks did quite depends on them . If I exchange them to 2.5 times of corps , I would have to sit & defence with a double line of blood from early 1943 , it would badly effect the manpower & make it to orange very soon . Probably Axis would be dead now .

In 1944 , Axis have to face more than 50 allies air units including around 30 high lvl tacs . Whatever you have will all be bombed twice every turn . No troops will survive from this . :)

If you get mud weather next time you can maybe live to 1945 and only get a minor defeat.

Yes but unless Allies stop their bomb storm !

Anyway , it is no difference for this AAR with a minor defeat or major defeat . We just wait for the 3.0 !
