Re: Army List and Label Generator - Download - Version 1.04
Hi,
"part Lancer" and part other Cavalry is what I mean by mixed Cavalry.
I have some more testing to do before I can release it.
Cheers,
John

Re: Army List and Label Generator - Download - Version 1.04
Don't know if it's me or not... both versions are not opening in OpenOffice (3.3.0) and my Android tablet thinks it's a virus.
In OpenOffice the 2010 version it don't get a 'New Army' button. And on the 2003 version when I click on the button I get-
"A Scripting Framework error occurred while running the UNKNOWN script UNKNOWN.
Incorrect format for Script URI"
On Android (both Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich) the anti virus kicks in thinking there is a problem, scans the document with no problems then shuts it down...
Any suggestions?
Stu

Re: Army List and Label Generator - Download - Version 1.04
Hi,
This was written for Excel. It uses a lot of Visual Basic (VBA) programming in the background and array formulas in some of the cells to achieve all it does, especially the generation of the labels.
Because this is more than just a spreadsheet with formulas, Open Office does not have the capability to convert the program properly.
Sorry but it will not work properly with Open Office.
Cheers,
John Shaw

Any chance of 'sharing' that VB script???
....only becouse I don't know much VB, but my Dad does (what he does for a job) and it wouldn't take much to work it into a HTML/Java based envirnoment (something I can do). That way us wierdos with Linux/Unix machines can use it too! In fact anything with a web browser could run it (in theory).
And even neater, I could run it on my Android tablet; which this reply is being typed on. I've almost merged all my DBR stuff across...

At the risk of some embarrasment to myself, would someone mind explaining to me how you use the labels that print out of the Army Sheet. I had envisioned something tiny that you affix to the rear edge of each base. What I see is substantially larger. Do people put there bases on top of the label with just the lower portion remaining visible? Or do the labels not go on the table at all?

There are a few terrain combinations that need to be added like Eastern Europe and Southern Europe for one.
I love this though!

I think there is a link with a picture showing them in use, you place your base on top of them with the back of the label sticking out.RexGator wrote:At the risk of some embarrasment to myself, would someone mind explaining to me how you use the labels that print out of the Army Sheet. When using libre office you need to set the macros allowed option, I think it's in the security settings, the Army List side works fine after that. (cant make the label generator work though).
Also the Army Lost dont allow Heavy Shock Cavalry with Lancers! (Yup blatant discrimination against us ottoman types! I dont think anyone else can have them)

using libre office tools > options > security > macro security > low
And the actual list part works fine (cant generate labels though)
