Congrats.

I don't see any problems.
Both Slitherine and Matrix provide good games with no DRM!
That's the most important part.

Would be disturbed if it's a deal with EA or Ubisoft.

But if you want more $ and get more customers need to offer your games on other sites/platforms/online shops like amazon, steam, impulse, GMG, GOG etc.

Both are good companies and I worked with Matrix before they were Matrix, working with David Heath was always a pleasure. :)
I used to develop scenarios for Steel Panthers and some other games. I am glad to see these two fine companies merging, and hope that they never-ever sell out to a big outfit - especially E.A.

+1 on that ...

I'll gladly pay your 19.99 for games like Sanctus Reach, PC 2 and any future variant of P&S offshoots ....

We do have a number of iOS games in development but dev teams are putting much less time in to it these days as the revenue stream is much lower than it used to be. It's not really something we can control unless the sales pick up. Developers obviously want the biggest return for investment. We have a lot more interest in consoles at the moment but who knows where things will be in a year or two. It is changing so fast!

Any thoughts given to a more "Freemium" model?

I generally hate the crud that comes out in that format - not because of the pricing model - but typically because of the content. ("War games" where earning Gems / Gold coins are involved is an example)

However - what about an Order of Battle (on Steam) model for IOS?

That might get more folks to take a chance and if the content is good, subsequently purchase the in-App content or scenarios.
