Re: Britcon runners and Riders
I think I deserve a special reward for originality!
Never seen this version of the list taken to a competition before.
Sadly over 6 games I'll probably find out why.

I did say it was a big surprise Pete, I didn't say it was because I thought you had at least a modicum of common sensepetedalby wrote:Never seen this version of the list taken to a competition before.

Re: Britcon runners and Riders
Anyone find an opaque plastic tub with light blue top full of dice, status markers & charge direction arrows at Britcon?
The dice were heading for landfill but I could do with the markers back. ☺

Re: Britcon runners and Riders
Many thanks to the BHGS team who once again organised and ran a splendid competition.
It has re-kindled my interest in competition gaming again!
Thanks to my competitors David, Paul, Lynda, Martyn, Steve and Bob. Great games played in the right spirit.
This losing of items aka Chris must be catching. Did anyone find a slightly battered copy of the rules lying of the floor?
I never had to refer to them the whole weekend so only noticed their absence when I got home!

Re: Britcon runners and Riders
We picked up both of the above... they are both currently sat in the Official BHGS Cardboard Box, which is in the boot of my car.
I imagine there will be a way to get them back to you via some of the players attending the Doubles in September, or more quickly via some sort of complex postal arrangement if you are sufficiently keen to have them to opt to pay the postage costs?

Re: Britcon runners and Riders
Thanks Tim. I'd like them posted if possible. Will PayPal be OK?
Re: Britcon runners and Riders
Afternoon Tim,
thanks for your swift reply.
Do you have a Paypal account?
If so can you e-mail me an invoice for the costs of returning the rules to me.
Regards
Malcolm

Re: Britcon runners and Riders
So as the dust settles on another great Britcon I just wanted to record my thanks to Tim & Kevin for another well organised weekend of wargaming.
Well done to Andy Ellis for all of the list checking as well.
I had 6 very enjoyable games vs Steve, Linda, Chris, Peter, Dave R and Graham B - won 3 lost 3! The men in feathers were a brave (foolhardy?) choice but I really enjoyed using them. With some different choices / outcomes who knows - they could have done even better.
Looking forward to Derby for my next competition fix.

Thanks to everyone for a great weekend and 6 enjoyable games. Special thanks to my opponents for helping enthuse Alex to play ancients, he has just finished his first game tonight, taking apart some Indians with my Seleucids!

I can try with that one, but I think your postal address may be more effective ...
