Miles off. There's definitely one person missing out of that top three...

Back home now and just wanted to post my thanks to Jacques, Hugo and everyone else involved in organising the event in Belgium. I had an excellent weekend with 6 great games against Martin, Roland, Xavier, Steve, Ferdi & David - all of which were played in an excellent spirit.

Jacques - please also pass on my thanks to all of the catering team - they did a great job.

Congratulations to Ferdi for a thoroughly well deserved win. And special thanks to Martin Wirt for checking all of the lists and doing the draws - we couldn't do it without you!

Hopefully someone will step up to organise 2017? Time for Germany again so that Ferdi can defend his title on home soil? I hope so.

Thank you to the organizers, without which no Worlds in Belgium, and We & The Prince Fafa would have missed a lot of good times!

And for those who believe that this is the Bronx of the 80's ... They never benn there, nor in the 80's or another time either in the Bronx or in Charleroi .. .
His Majesty and The Prince Fafa were very well received them at Charleroi! : D

So for the storyteller, in order:
- Super private tour of chasseurs à pieds museum ... and not hunting like was thinking The Prince Fafa: wink: with director comments by himself ! :D
- Super Hotel ... XXL bedroom for His Majesty!
- Great dinner, in the cellars of the Vauban fortress ... beautifully frequented!
- Super visit of the site of the Battle of ... Braine-l'Alleud !
- Great food, in a true Italian restaurant ... with not pizza! 8)
- Super fun time sharing with nice young guy playing nightly at 40 K and WH in a shopping mall ...

In short, FLAWLESS... the city could be called CharlEmpereur! : Mrgreen:

And about the dice game called FoG ... if it did not allowed Us seting beautiful figures and meet nice people ... an Imperial Blaze would have illuminated The Imperial Village of Nero sunday night!

End of story !

I heard talk of Spain, where it might be possible to co-locate with the ETC (FoW/W/hammer etc) in Salamanca ?

That would be 22 out of the 85+ players across the three main periods then, with a local crowd of, erm, I guess 1 ?

Spain, France or Italy would be much better. They all have strong local scenes.

I would suggest northern France..easier for the Germans who made up a big contingent and enables us brits to use a ferry to get their from portsmouth - somewhere near the D Day beaches around Caen would be good or nearer Paris.

Thanks for a great three days of battles!

Normandy would be pretty difficult in august : lots of traffic and lots of tourits ... 8)

Lille would be nice and afterwards you can go to the beaches if you want to .
