Stockport Pick n Mix - December 12th/13th

Post by hammy »

Hi folks,

People have been asking if there will be a Pick n Mix again this year. The answer is that if there are enough people who want to play then I will run the event.

Numbers for both FoG:AM and FoG:R were pretty thin last year but I would like to think that it can work again this year.

If you are interested please let me know.

I suspect this will be the last Pick n Mix I run in Stockport as I am about to open a shop and gaming venue of my own in Daventry but this one will actually have heating and nice facilities. The Pick n Mix format is a great one and it will continue, just probably not in Stockport under my management.

If you want to know more about the new venture in Daventry check out out Kickstarter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/15 ... ming-exper

Hi Hammy

I'm prepared to be a reserve for FOGAM if you need to make up the numbers.

At the moment I have confirmations for FoG:AM from:
Phil Powell, Peter Card, Robert Taylor, Peter Reilly and Matt Poole.

Other than that John McIntosh is up for ADLG or FoG:R

DBMM looks to be a dead duck for this year

Flames of War has a reasonable degree of interest.

I a starting to think that this might be the end of the Pick n Mix in Stockport to be honest.

It may well be Hammy. I have been informed by the long haired general that I am not going anywhere that weekend

OK,

Here's the plan.

Saturday will be post 500 AD FoG:AM and Late War Flames of War

Sunday Pre 1000AD FoG:AM and Mid War FoW

I can't see anything else happening due to lack of interest :(

At the moment I think I have:
Peter Card, Robert Taylor, Peter Reilly, Matt Poole, Paul Longmore, Steve Clarke

And then Chris Tofalos on one day (most likely Sunday, possibly both) and Andy Catlow on Sunday.

Hi Hammy

I'm only coming across if you need me to make it an even number on either day.

I can wait until Friday night for you to finalise the numbers.

My plan is to bring a spare army for both the FoW and the FoG event then in the situation where I have an odd number of players for one period I can play and even numbers and an odd number of players in both will mean me cajoling someone into switching. I think there are a few candidates for switching at a push so we should be good whatever happens.

The good news is that the trophies are all ordered and should be here in time. The mince pies and cake have been purchased and I am almost on top of things.
