I'm sure there is an error in the Scottish Open results

The scores of Guy Hunter and Malcolm Gordon have been transposed. Sadly I only came 6th after losing the plot in my last game against Mr Johnston.

I've already submitted the January rankings, so these will be included in the February rankings.

Bottom line is that you've got about three weeks to sort this out :)

I've just submitted the rankings to the BHGS politbureau, so hopefully they will be available for viewing by the great unwashed in the very near future.

We have a brand new #1 - and to my knowledge it is somebody who has not previously been top of the rankings. I suspect largely down to the grand performance by Mr Dalby in finishing 25th out of 26 at Roll Call. Top effort that man. We also see a welcome surge in the rankings from yours truly, moving up from #14 to #13. A truly stupendous rise.

Events included this month are Schiltron and Roll Call. Drop me a mail if you know of other tournaments held that I haven't included.

A teaser of the top 20:

Code: Select all

1 2 Paul Johnston
2 1 Pete Dalby
3 3 Graham Briggs
4 4 Richard Jeffrey-Cook
5 6 Andy Ellis
6 5 David Bannister
7 11 David Fairhurst
8 7 Phil Powell
9 8 David Handley
10 12 Lance Flint
11 9 Dino Monticoli
12 10 Robert Taylor
13 14 Dave Ruddock
14 16 Bob Amey
15 15 Nik Sharp
16 19 Jon Akers
17 13 Graham Evans
18 34 Alan Cutner
19 17 Ian Stewart
20 21 George Dick

Latest rankings are now available, including The Challenge amongst others. Quick peek of the top 20 is below.

A welcome return to a certain Dave R back where he belongs. Somehow, Mr Powell appears to have snuck into second place, rather like his performance at the challenge where he was on table 273 (and losing) for the majority of the tournament before somehow managing to finish 6th. First time entry for Paul Bartlett into the top 20 I think - well done. The challenge now is to stay there :)

Code: Select all

1 2 Richard Jeffrey-Cook (Society of Ancients) 8 90.16
2 8 Phil Powell (MAWS) 9 89.96
3 4 Graham Briggs (Reigate) 8 89.58
4 13 Dave Ruddock (MAWS) 9 85.84
5 1 Paul Johnston (York) 8 85.30
6 9 David Handley (Leeds) 9 84.93
7 12 Robert Taylor (Halifax) 7 84.49

This question is bound to drop me down the rankings again. But I can't think of more than 4 FoG tournaments I've done in the last year (Britcon, Scottish League, Scottish Open and Schiltron). Whats the 5th?
