28mm Longbowmen with removable stakes

Post by madaxeman »

At Warfare this year I had decided to get some 28mm medievals, with the typical thought that adding around 5 boxes of multipart plastic self assembly infantry would be an easy way to expand my existing long-unfinished dozen-or-so bases of Swiss pikemen into a series of other morphable medieval armies.

I also had the time to play around with making some magnetised stakes, using tiny magnets which allowed them to be used with or without the stakes.

Nice solution. Is it possible to have stakes on their own bases, if you don't want them on the figure bases? I'm pretty new to FoG and I haven't encountered the concept of Portable Defences until I got the SoA rulebook.

Yes it is - and probably what most players do. Mine are on bases 40 x 20.
