Division D
SawyerK (Ptolemaic 55-30 BC) defeated bomber23 (Ostrogoth 493-561 BC) by 66 to 37.
The Ptolemaics made good use of two connected hills in their initial defense and then was able to punch forward to the attack when the Ostrogoth cavalry thinned their line to circle the hills for flank attacks. The game was much closer than the final score as a Ptolemaic infantry unit somehow held off multiple attacks by two heavy Ostrogoth cavalry at the back of their army long enough for the forward attack to win through.

I'll second that. A completely random division where every player selects potluck at the start of the match would be kind of hilarious. Absolute chaos!

Well I meant 1 random army you stick with for a section. Still silly, but slightly less so.

The army selection poll is now closed . . . 20-5 in favour of limited exemptions
Edited
The proposal
Where a nation has six or more armies in a tournament section list (e.g. Classical Antiquity), it is proposed that two different armies from these nations will be allowed in a division from Season 6 onwards. These are the nations that have 6 or more armies in a list that would be exempted from the current "one nation, one army" rule . . .
Classical Antiquity
Achaemenid Persian 6
Carthaginian 9
Greek 7
Thracian 10
This section edited to take into account the new army lists for Season 6 (Romans and Seleucids now removed from the exemption list as they have 5 armies instead of 6) and the omission of the Thracian group of armies from the original post. (stockwellpete)
Late Antiquity
Roman 6
This section edited to take into account the new army lists for Season 6. The Hunnic armies are removed from the exemption list as they now have 4 armies instead of 6. (stockwellpete)
Early Middle Ages
Arab 14
Byzantine 9
Biblical

Chaos Division Idea
I think this would be a very interesting option. At least a couple others seemed interested. Do we have enough people to make this viable? If you'd be willing to play in such a division, post here.Geffalrus wrote - A completely random division where every player selects potluck at the start of the match would be kind of hilarious.
