Re: Poll on new "Allies" feature
I agree but apparently it is not possible to do so I'm happy to go with allies as they are.Ulysisgrunt wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 2:37 pm I think that allies should be allowed in all games, as this would make many armies more competitive. However, I feel that they should be accompanied by an allied general who can command only them. This would be a reasonable trade off. Allied troops should certainly not be scattered across the line.

Group 4
Triarii (Thracians) beat Paul McNeil (Macedonia) 61-34.
Very very much in the balance until the collapse of the Macedonian mediums under a Thracian horde (or the bit that was left of it) while the Thracian light cavalry did a passable impersonation of pesky horseflies around the quality Macedonian cavalry.

Division D
General Shapur - Kingdom of Soissons 461-486 AD defeats Supervark - Lombard 493-567 AD 57-28
In an battle that went to the last turn where neither side held back - a fluid battle that covered 2/3 of the map. Well done, very close at times.

devoncop (Dailami/Khorasanian allies) beat rbodleyscott (Frankish/Viking allies) 61% to 52%
Aided by some wooded and hilly terrain dotted around the map the Dailami ground out the most unlikely win since David lobbed a pebble in Goliath's direction and hoped for the best !
Thanks Richard for a great game.

Well done, XLegione, an entertainign game, if not a successful one. Once again it was my army stomped all over, despite the fact it was the only one with elephants.
Best Wishes

devoncop (Jewish revolt) beat Xlegione (Hunnic Sabir) 57% to 30%
Swarms of Jewish skirmishers and some doughty performances from the zealots and even the medium foot swamped the better quality Huns who succumbed with just a couple of turns left.
Thanks to my opponent for a tough fight.
