Quite a tease. To me it's news, but according to Fraser Brown, the game goes for the 4x genre but leaving completely aside any diplomacy angle, letting the factions duke it out no holds barred - although, if you do like this aspect in 4x, you'll be lacking. He also says all the 4 factions (space marines, astra militarum, orks and necron) are entirely different from one another; maybe it's lessons learned from the Total War Warhammer games.

I didn't know about this game, but it is my radar now.

For me, this is a first day out buy. I have been patiently waiting since I saw Agrippa do his video on it. I want to congratulate you on making FINE products, at reasonable prices.
