Mirrored MP Games Issue

Some people are having problems with Mirrored games getting stuck after the replay, with no UI showing.

(See the first post here: viewtopic.php?f=488&t=89770. Note that that thread contains other bug reports, but for the purpose of this thread we are only interested in the specific bug that NikiforosFokas reported)

We are trying to track down the cause of this bug, which we have so far been unable to reproduce, and we would be very grateful if anyone who has experienced this bug could answer the following questions:

1) Have you only had this happen in Epic Battles, or have you also had it happen in Custom Battles?
2) Roughly how many turns into the game were you when it happened?
3) Did the other game of the mirrored pair continue to work normally?
4) Had the other game been completed or conceded when the mirror "broke"?
5) Which side's turn was it when the bug occurred, side A or Side B?

1) Not sure if an epic battle or custom battle.... it was one of the themed event MP scenarios Stockwellpete created.
2) First turn

4) No
5) 1st move of the second player. I assume that is side B.

I guess you have already seen the issue that dkalenda has reported in the TT Mod thread:

It looks like it might be related to the Mirror MP game issue.

I don't see how he could get a script error from a Mod that isn't even on his computer. Scripts are not passed in the PBEM data.

However, it does raise the question of whether the Mirrored Challenge problem might be due to the server feeding back data for the wrong challenge.

3) Don't think so - opponent has the same issue in the game that they are seeing.

5) Again - not sure. This battle is a bit weird in the first place as one army does not have orders because they have been surprised by the enemy. The strange thing here is that I get two warnings - the first one telling me that I have been surprised then a second telling me that the Romans have been surprised.

We have discovered the reason for this bug and it will be fixed in the next game update. Until then it is best to avoid Mirrored Challenges for Epic Battles. They work fine with Custom Battles.
