FOG2 Server Upload Issues
Sine the new patch and new module upgrades I am experiencing 3 to four server failed to upload messages every turn. It eventually does the upload bot only after the failures.
Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
Same here, its been like this for a few days.
Today I had one game totally fail - Ctrl-Alt-Delete was the only way out.
I've sent a support email on Monday. No reply as of yet.

I have decided to stop playing this until the problem is solved.
You cant be sure if you can end a MP turn any longer.

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
I have been getting the failed to upload messages as well, but today I got two BSOD when I tried to upload my turn. This was during a Glory of Persia Tournament game. I restarted the computer and played my turn again (with nearly the same results) and got the BSOD again when I tried to upload the turn. A netio.sys error was on the blue screen and my network drivers are up to date. Error logs are below.

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
Here are some questions from the IT guys:
Are these issues happening only with this game? Maybe specific campaigns?
Are these happening only with the very same users?
Any helpful info can really help us in narrowing them down…

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
The BSOD were in games with Antonis1984. I just played two turns in a game with u5555 and then two turns in a game with Antonis1984 with no problems, not even a failed to upload message. I haven't changed anything on my end.

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
If you are getting BSODs when trying to upload it points to some issue with your network drivers or hardware. The game can't (or, with valid drivers, shouldn't) cause a hard lock like that as it is not running at a high enough privilege level.
Are you running on a laptop? As it is sporadic, I wonder if it could be a heat issue?
Cheers

It isn't a notebook and I haven't had any heat related issues with it. I built it approximately two years ago. I occasionally play Armored Warfare and Titanfall 2 which are much more stressful on the computer and I haven't had any trouble when playing them. The computer sits on top of a desk so that it gets plenty of ventilation.

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
BSODs can also be caused by drivers and low-level software conflicts. If it's during the upload, I also think it might be related with network drivers.
Make sure they are updated.

I now know the reasons why I'm having problems.vj531 wrote:I have decided to stop playing this until the problem is solved.

For me, it's Malwarebytes antivirus.
I have excluded both FoGII .exe and main folder. Sadly the same issues continue.
Solution ATM to turn Malwarebytes off while playing the game. Not at all ideal.
Any more input gratefully appreciated.

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
My problem d/n start until after the last upgrade. The IT guys told me to do a lot of meaningless procedures like running msconfig in order to blow off my ticket. Since I am an IT guy I recognized it for what it was.
Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
The msconfig procedure is for checking if a 3rd party program (like an anti-virus for example) is interfering with the upload.
It's a basic procedure for troubleshooting an issue.

Thanks, Pip
Will report back.
Update: If you turn off the 'Web Protection' on the MWB consol. The errors stop, but again not Ideal.

Re: FOG2 Server Upload Issues
I have the latest drivers according to Windows Update and I checked the manufacturer's website as well. I also ran:VPaulus wrote:BSODs can also be caused by drivers and low-level software conflicts. If it's during the upload, I also think it might be related with network drivers.

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
It didn't find any corrupted files. I've had two more BSOD, one in a match with Henniak, and another with U5555. I can post the minidump file for the latest BSOD as well if you think it will help.
