Curious Light horse phenomenon

Maybe this is a known occurence, but I noticed in one of my pbem games a broken LH unit (following prolonged combat) with just 6 men left. It had fled a couple of times so it was surprising that it did not disperse, or maybe I am overlooking something? Not a problem, it just amused me and I had not seen it before.
