Field of Glory II Manual Sneak Peek!

Post by Daniele »

As the release date of Field Glory II is approaching fast (October 12th is just around the corner!), it is time to show a bit more of it, through an abstract from its Manual!

The sneak peek will show you:

- The Table of Contents

- The Custom Battle Section

- The Battle Section

- How Cohesion works

It’s a lot of content for a sneak peek!

Get more information about the game from its official product page!

Click on this link to get this Manual Abstract! or you can also download it through the "Download" Section.

That manual looks gloriously chunky!

What are it's dimensions?

Not sure about the actual dimensions, but it has 150 pages.

If the manual is 150 pages then the illustration in the first post is seriously misleading. Looking at my War in The West manual which is 300 pages a 150 page manual would be about a quarter the size (at a push a third) of that illustrated.

Also a nice detailed hardback manual will be nice to have but how quickly will it become out of date in relation to the PDF download version which will be updated as the game develops and additional features etc are added ?

The hardback manuals, where the disk in printed inside a sleeve on the front cover are $15 extra.

The proof copies just arrived and they are looking very nice :)

Hi Iain

In the UK here, it says £24.99 to buy plus £12.00 for the box, does that get me the manual?

Thanks

As I understand it, the manual is the box. i.e. there is no actual box - the manual comes with the disc in a sleeve on/inside the cover.

Yes its called a physical version. When we make a hard back manual we don't use a box and the book becomes the "box". The disk is mounted inside the front cover and whole things is shrink wrapped.

On the store page, I see only the option of adding the book to matrix store purchase.

Is the option to get book only for steam purchasers going to happen (as done DC: Barbarossa)?

Hoping for a Matrix store page update soon.

This is the upgrade link

http://www.matrixgames.com/store/boxedupgrade.asp

Note it can be a little slow to load. Then search for Field of Glory.

Cheers

I notice that among weapons darts are mentioned for Late Roman infantry (and I hope Aztecs!!!). No mention is mad of the 'later weapon types such as heavy lance, longbow, and gunpowder weapons.
Will there be additional manuals to cover later weapons, or will this one be simply updated?

What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
