Post-Campaign DLC Proposal

After restarting the campaign to run through with the Broken Alliance DLC installed I had an Idea for a post-game campaign much like the BA Campaign. What has made me post this here is how well the Broken Alliance DLC was done and how well it complements the main narrative of the game.
I have not thought of the finer details but I’m sure it won't be hard.
So, I've always wondered why Humanity never went beyond the 12 colonies other than the navigational errors that crop up due to each jump. This game would be the perfect way to tell a story that involves this.
- I thought the story could start off with people saying that some of their ships from colonial fleet (player owned?) went M.I.A without any sign of debris, It would cause a concern that Sinnon implemented such technology to other ships in the fleet that made the Galactica disappear.
- A fatal design flaw (made by Sinnon) would be found during this specific campaign that rendered the Jupiter class stranded in each battle which means it would challenge the player to branch out to other ships and compensate
- After a series of story missions and side missions we learn that the missing ships have been sighted at the edge of the system
- A mission could involve recusing a deserter of the colonial military who would reveal that the ships and their crew are deserters of the war and most commanders are linked to the extremist group "soldiers of the one"
- When we find the fleet (composed of the favourite ships from the dev team) they are escorting a civilian fleet filled with throwback ships from the 1970's BSG such as the attached image to pay homage to TOS but also include brand new designed ships (not used in RDM keep the ships in that fresh)
- Cylon’s jumps in before player has a chance to destroy the renegade fleet
- Renegade fleet jump OUT of the system into uncharted space.
- Ending scenes will talk about how colonial fleet spent months searching the jump radius around the colonies for the fleet but it was never found so they gave up to divert resources to much needed aid in the colonies.
- Ending slide would show Jupiter(s) class Battlestar’s docking at a classified facility to undergo retro-fitting to link the game further in line with the lore (we do not have to see a brand new Battlestar just welding flashes or something to show that the changes are underway)
- Theseus Battlestar will be unlocked for the player and the cylon would have some cool toys
- Player will have access to TOS colonial shuttle unarmed and loaded with marines (for boarding parties)
I thought of this idea this way because I REALLY love the design of most of the colonial ships and with the ships jumping out of the system with a cylon fleet on their tail it pays homage to the TOS series but it also immortalises these ships into the canon as we will never know their fates. It also leaves the franchise open for spin-off games that doesn't focus on the exodus of the 12 colonies in RDM. With how well the latest DLC was pulled off, this would be great addition to the game and makes sense lore-wise, fixes a few plot holes and also doesn't retcon a single thing.
So please... tell me what you think? How would you handle a DLC for the game?
