The long:
Youtube changed a lot since Panzer Corps. There are many things that just don't work the way it used to. There are lots of resources you can look up on this topic. The 'ad-pocalypse' of youtube. Massive demonetization of huge swaths of creator content. It's not just Panzer Corps/Wehrmacht with its loose ties to Nazism, but that definitely is one of the big things they are attacking. If you look at any history channel these days, you will notice they have replaced all of their swastikas with the youtube logo.

It's a subtle jab, but cuts right to the heart of the issue.
But you know what, too bad. You want to make money using youtube's systems you HAVE to play by their rules. You are trying to monetize your videos I see, and if you didn't you wouldn't have this problem BTW. So people can complain and cry about what they determine are draconian rules, but thems the rules, and often for good reason. They don't want liability for when a mass shooter has a youtube history full of 'offensive' videos and people start talking how youtube is a breeding ground for nazis. That's what twitter is for.

It's the same rules that keep Islamic extremism off of youtube. Do you really want some beheading video going viral under youtube's algorithms and coming up in your recommended feed as a result? No fuck that. It's their house, their rules, and people think they can just produce whatever content they want AND make money? Nope that shit doesn't fly anymore. People can hate on youtube all the want, but it won't change anything. What are you going to do, post videos to some other digital video site? Good luck getting any audience anywhere else.
However.
What a lot of people have learned to do as a result of these rules is to demonetize their channels. Now they can post whatever they want to youtube (within limits, no @#$% kiddie porn gtfo with that seriously). And then you have to monetize independently of youtube. It's why every video these days ends with a full minute of the exact same thing every other video on every other channel has. Like, share, subscribe,
visit our patreon, become a supporter, blah blah blah. That's your solution to the monetization problem.
Me personally, don't monetize anything I put on youtube. Not my videos with mere dozens of views nor my videos with 10 or even 100s of thousands of views (

/flex). I just use it to share interesting things, and I stay away from the sticky problems that come with monetization. I mean it's literally why games are always so restrictive with what licenses they can use or even reference, while modders go insane and do whatever they want. One is about the $$$, and the other isn't.
