Panzer Corps 2 multiplayer rating
Hello, please tell me, is it expected to have a rating for the multiplayer part of the game in the panzer corp 2? Example: Each player starts with 1000 points, gives up -40 points, won +20 points, lost -20 points, maximum you can score 3000 points, player 560 points rating won player 2500 points rating +55 points as an example, player 2500 points rating won a player 400 points rating +5 points.

I am not sure they can do something like this, but if they can I would love to see something like this.ClaireRedfieldU wrote: ↑Sun Dec 30, 2018 2:18 pm Hello, please tell me, is it expected to have a rating for the multiplayer part of the game in the panzer corp 2? Hello Goose_2, the rating of the players is very important, I can estimate the strength of the player and accept the desire to accept or not multiplayer match.goose_2 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 02, 2019 4:18 pmI am not sure they can do something like this, but if they can I would love to see something like this.ClaireRedfieldU wrote: ↑Sun Dec 30, 2018 2:18 pm Hello, please tell me, is it expected to have a rating for the multiplayer part of the game in the panzer corp 2? Re: Panzer Corps 2 multiplayer rating
The topic sounds familiar, not sure whether this was discussed/mentioned previously already, however I would suggest some form of an ELO rating, i.e. as used by the World Chess Federation FIDE. In principle, ELO is an established system/concept but might need to be customized for the specific (computer) game in question. It would definitely help any PzC (2) MP experience… maybe not a project for the very first release of PzC2 but it can definitely be done for turn-based games with discrete results (DV, MV, draw, loss):

Hello PeteMitchell_2, your idea is good, but I think the indie game rating should be simple, not as complicated as the system ELO and the player gave up should be punished as in the fighting game. Thanks.PeteMitchell_2 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 05, 2019 2:35 pm The topic sounds familiar, not sure whether this was discussed/mentioned previously already, however I would suggest some form of an ELO rating, i.e. as used by the World Chess Federation FIDE. Re: Panzer Corps 2 multiplayer rating
Well, I will always agree on keeping it simple...
However, the required calculations to come up with a working ELO system are fairly straightforward and follow basic maths, it's nothing complicated (IMHO), maybe compare here for an example (very similar to what you posted above):
https://metinmediamath.wordpress.com/20 ... g-example/
and some more discussion on the maths:

It would be interesting to hear if developers have considered any form of rating system so far...

Hello PeteMitchell_2, it is also very interesting to hear the official opinion on this issue?. I want the game to be not a visual remake of the first part, but a full-fledged sequel.PeteMitchell_2 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 06, 2019 2:13 pm

Hi guys! Yes, MP rating system is on our wish list, and we are working with Slitherine to see if this is something we can do for 1.0, as it obviously requires some support from MP server's side. And yes, ELO rating system is what we are considering for specific implementation.

Thanks a lot for your reply Rudankort, this is great news!Rudankort wrote: ↑Sun Jan 06, 2019 4:56 pm Hi guys! Just as a side note, a good MP rating system could even help in organizing/establishing leagues, teams of players and tournaments/championships.
