Please don't spend many man hours on fancy animation which people will just get annoyed/bored at. Prioritize depth if anything.

I agree with the comments on animation in general from the various participant's giving comment's,EG: crisse88 "Prioritize depth if anything.",however I myself am also interested in state of the art Graphics if they do indeed enhance the visual's as well as gameplay!.

I cannot 'really/honestly' make a fair 'assessment/judgement' on this issue as I would like to, since I do not have any real idea as to what this development would actually entail. Perhap's at some point, a detailed description and/or also a graphic's sampling could be given or illustrated to help clear the fog on this issue!.

I loved the original PzC, so i hope they don't stray too far away from the gameplay mechanics of it. However i have a few things on the wishlist for PzC2:
1. Somewhat expanded airial warfare - Planes should be designated as high or low altitude and AA should be tailored to do more damage against high or low, depending on the type of AA. This could be further expanded to high and low altitude fighters which specialise in attacking enemies at those altitudes (they can still attack units at the other altitude, but are less effective).
2. Some sort of supply mechanism - if cut off from a friendly city for X turns, unit starts suffering attrition. Nothing too complicated though.
3. More useful unit stats display - showing ROF and with stats updated for hero effects.
4. I think no need for a cutscene for each scenario. But i like having the voiceover reading out the mission objectives "Herr General".

I'm looking forward to the better graphics and hopefully it will open up this genre to a new generation of gamers. Even if the game turns out to be a reskinned PzC with better graphics and only minor tweaks, i would still probably get it as i loved the original so much.

<EDIT - one last thing and most important. Please make this game easy to mod. I have gotten years more life out of the game due to great mod's like McGuba's Battlefield Europe>

1. Remain as true to the Panzer Corp recipe as possible - turn based, easy to learn, hard to master, relatively quick to play a scenario, scenarios make up campaigns with progress moving through campaigns.

2. Never sacrifice game play for glitz and graphics
- example, in HOI4, the first thing i did was turn off the day/night cycle. thankfully i could turn it off.

3. Expand the geographical scope of the game to include lesser known or played regions (Burma, Japan, China etc)

4. Events/Choices - include more immersion/choices during a scenario that affect the outcome of the match.
- for example, every few turns a random event could occur that places a boon/bane on your or the enemies units. ie, Patton arrives at the front, all units get +1 move this turn)
- EUIV's event system also comes to mind

5. Units/OOB - When i play the Germans, I always know exactly which units i will buy/upgrade due to price/power ratio, and to make my scenario wins quicker. (ex, dont buy Pz38 because they dont upgrade. buy pz3 instead for longevity)
- not sure how to address this, but the german player shouldnt have full motorized/halftrack infantry after poland/low countries. Would like a more difficult OOB system where prestige is awarded based on success rather than a lump sum given at beginning of each battle.

6. Weather/Terrain - I would like to see weather and terrain play a more important role in the game, rather than just passive modifiers.

7. Leaders - would be nice to have them make more of an impact. I like the ability to assign/unassign leaders to units to help achieve an objective.

8. Supply Lines - would like to see if this is something that could be implemented without becoming the central theme of the game like in UoC series.

In addition, another thing I want to discuss with u guys! There is one stats parameter that I miss very much in this series – “discipline” (core or unit battle status!) u can call it – moral or effectiveness or whatever). Thing is that the “discipline” system (or whatever u call it) is the most important thing in the battles and army performs. It’s not like the initiative parameter we have! It is valuable but it doesn’t show the unit will to fight. Remember the history, army who has a high level of discipline rules the world (ancient Greece, Roman army, Napoleon’s army, early Wehrmacht 39-43, red army 43-45, lots of examples).

What u think n how we gonna call it (in case, this is a good idea)

As far as I know, the Wehrmacht had high morale and discipline throughout the war, so the war ended only in May 1945, despite the great advantage of the Allies.
The Red Army in 1943-45 committed so many rapes, robberies and murders on the civilian population, so what kind of discipline do you write? In addition, they were drunk non stop. :wink:

Sure. These drunk Russians had hard morning after party, then have crushed the high morale and disciplined Wehrmacht and have taken Berlin.

Sure. These drunk Russians had hard morning after party, then have crushed the high morale and disciplined Wehrmacht and have taken Berlin.
Firstly, huge advantage in people and equipment, secondly, the price of huge losses. Huuuuge.....

An 'INSANE Thought' just occurred to me!.

Game-Play Operational Possibilities?.
For Example,...what if you are the Germans invading Russia with Army Group's 'A','B' & 'C'. Say that initially you start out this effort as Army-Group-Centre, and you complete your 1st-turn. Now this is when the idea I had in mind will come into implementation.

Instead of just controlling Army-Group-Centre, you now also as well do the 1st turn's for Army-Group-North & South...as well as all other Sequential-Turn's in the remainder of the Game. This means that the outcome of the game does not just rely on only one of the 3-Incursion SpearHeads!. All 3 SpearHeads have a Positive or Negative Effect on each other through-out the course of this invasion.

Maybe this is too-much for something like this in PanzerCorps2, But-Hey!, it's just an idea to possibly kick around?. What-Say-You???.

Not just Prague ;).

Those guys were totally crazy, stupid or how to call them - the worst of worst from low. They 3 times circle whole town with replaced signs missed sign to bigger town and then stared to shoot and kill one man. This is navigation basics with map and compass for 4-5 year selling cookies!

I think its a good idea.
From MPV, have ability play 2-3 core at the same time, and switch between.
Its also can do in july 43: Kursk (core 1) ->Sicilly (core 2)->Kharkov43 (core 1) and so.

Hi All!

1. I might be alone with it but I just loved the art quality maps and the „3D” units of PZ G 2 and Peoples G.

2. If I count accurately then „Panzer Corps 2” will be the 7th WW2 themed game in the panzer series?

Is there any chance for a post WW2/Cold War turned hot/Modern World War NATO vs Russia vs China vs Iran vs etc campaigns with more scenarios than Peoples G anytime soon?
MWW would be a great opportunity to involve lots of countries with their own old and new afv/tank variations, helicopters, jets, and other equipments.

3. NBC warfare?
4. City fight maps?
5. Possibility for scenario/campaign co-op mode?
6. Simulating supply routes?
7. Adding support units that enhance other units in some ways?
Like supply trucks enhancing supply capability for nearby units.
Armor recovery vehicles making replacements cheaper or more effective.
HQ providing experience bars to nearby units.
Radio / radar / communication units behaving as recons.

As far as I know, the Wehrmacht had high morale and discipline throughout the war, so the war ended only in May 1945

It isn't! Operations at eastern fronts - some SS forces retrieved with out order! It was in 44 years campaign. It was a guards forces of Wehrmacht machine! I can give u some details of this if u want.) Even in botched historical books u could find that the Wehrmacht of 45 it isn't Wehrmacht of 39-40!

Guys this is not a historical discussion! Believe me I have read lots of literature and documents to make those conclusions. Red army rapes and murders were punished severely (please use as a source only documental literature). Not to mention how Wehrmacht soldiers behaved on occupied territories. Crimes of some Germans deeds unforgivable! Some Germans general wrote in diaries and logs “we very surprised by red army and how they learn to fight in late war years” If u want to discuss it, let’s make the stand-alone thread and clear some things!))

To the point of my post – This stat parameter is very valuable (to me) by "core discipline", I meant effectiveness in battle situation. Cooperation of forces – artillery/airforce/tanks/infantry.

Do not write nonsenses, unless you rely on books published in the USSR forty years ago.
The Red Army commanders themselves encouraged the soldiers to take revenge on the German civilians for the destruction of their homeland. In 1945 in Berlin there were such carnage, thievery and rape that even Zhukov was frightened and only then they began to punish, even shoot.

SS was not the Wehrmacht.
Of course the Wehrmacht was not the same in 1945, but relatively in terms of discipline was not so bad in the German army at all.
Wehrmacht war crimes didn't affect the discipline of the soldiers on the battlefield, but the lack of discipline in the Red Army was a danger to the entire front, so even the commanders began to react harshly at the end.
This is the most historical discussion! I specialize in the history of World War II, I know what I write.

Both sides committed despicable atrocities because that is human nature. Arguing either side is silly as there will be countless counterexamples.

I don't discuss which side was worse.
I will even say that the Germans were worse, but we are arguing about which army was more disciplined on the battlefield and that relates to the topic. :wink:
