Soviet-Afghan War '79 - '89 next please

After Royal Marines were released, an instant buy for me now after I have just gotten back to Afghanistan '11 after half a year hiatus, what I am dreaming about is getting this game the Soviet war in the DRA expansion. Apart from software and engine mechanics here which I am not familiar with - dealing with the code may turn out to be harder that it is to think what to replace with what to get that done in theory - I'd say the blueprint is here already in place. Soviet mechanized and armoured units, paratroopers and SpetsNaz, Mi-24 Hind gunships, MI-17 transport choppers, "Black Tulip" Antonovs, GRA regular units, KHAD and Sarandoy, Panshir vallay and operation "Magistral", Politburo interventions, Sukhoi SU-25 Grach from Bagram etc. - way to go with this game, the possibilities are not only endless, but they do seem well within the grasp.

That said, that direction with South African bush fires I once found on the net in Every Single Soldier blog is also awesome. I am very much into obscure and long forgotten conflicts and small wars with low to medium intensity and profile insurgencies.

Her Majesty's Ship and Terra Incognito both sound interesting with the next ISAF DLC and also Angola Bush war at a later date, all seem really good and different enough from the norm to be enjoyable and look forward to seeing more from them in the future

Sure would be nice to have a game covering that Soviet-Afghan war. It is rare to be able to use Russian military hardware in games. I saw on the store page for the latest Art of War they have a scenario for this.
And there is a nice game Syrian Warfare that let's you have a small Russian military force to fight the ISIS terrorists with, and Flashpoint Germany game has a playable Russian side too.
I think this Afghan 11 game would be good for this Soviet Afghan war. Clever Afghan ambushes versus ruthless Soviet firepower is a good match-up. I guess this developer has retired from the sounds of it.
