Congratulations Alan on your 3%, an amazing result considering the calibre of TGM and the number of Peasants involved. Well Done.

No, I'm "peasantly" surprised at their early tenacity but they do tend to fall over quickly as the battle progresses...They're clearly not getting enough protein in their diet!

My Ikko-Ikki (50) beat TGM's Uesugi (63). Very close, very fun. I was really scared to know the same fate as against KiwiWarlord...

You're right... I will be more aggressive, now

I will post a challenge for our game.

You should post games for Gdod and LFDLM.

Thanks

I enjoyed the game, despite being beaten up by the Uesugi superior troops. Brian attacked in an interesting way with a massive phalanx of units aiming to batter my peasants. It worked but I did manage to use my warrior monks and some flanking peasants to do some damage. Another turn would have been interesting, if my opponent decided to do nothing, but it was not to be.

I was doing very well early on,I had turned a flank and had Peasants routing in droves back into the large woods. A large rock thrown by a Peasant knocked my General off his horse at a critical time allowing the Ikko Ikki to recover and counter attack causing much damage. The sound of many conch shell horns rallying the Peasants in the woods was a great concern until the Ikko Ikki CnC fell as the unit he was leading was crushed by a two pronged attack in Front & Flank.

sillygoy's 14,521 Uesugi (4%) defeat ahuyton's 30,009 (41%) Ikko Ikki.

The match was quick but tense. ahuyton played aggressively while I kept my cards relatively close to my chest, fearful of enemy numbers. My ashigaru and sohei displayed remarkable courage even when losing against superior Ikko Ikki warrior monks. Only one battalion failed a cohesion check, and only once. Luck was definitely on my side during this battle - ahuyton's battalions, meanwhile, were failing their checks and losing generals.

There also wasn't a lot of forestry or otherwise rough terrain that the Peasants could have utilized. Fighting was done mostly in the open, where most of the melee was decided.

Good game!

Sillygoy played well and I was over aggressive. My poor peasants got well and truly mashed, losing two generals on the way. Well played.

Frustrating to come close, but to be fair Snugglebunnies led for most of the game. As in our game, I picked up some momentum towards the end but too late as my weaker units (ie mob, no capabilities) cracked and sent me over the 60% threshold. It was a lot of fun all the same.

How are the remaining games going?

Sillygoy obviously has three to complete. In addition the following are unresolved, or undeclared:
- Snugglebunnie v TGM
- Gdod v TGM - now completed
