Battle of Nagashino

Not too much to say on this one.

You command a good-calibre Takeda army facing a larger but mostly raw Oda/Tokugawa force, who are behind light fortifications across a fordable stream. Both sides are initially standing on hills. Your left is especially high-quality and faces a weak, detached enemy force.

An obvious and winning strategy is to use your left to spearhead a flank march and roll-up the Oda right. This worked well for me, but care is needed to leave enough troops on the hill on the Takeda centre-right to stop or delay the AI's predictable counter-attack here. As the Oda army is of uneven quality and has a lot of large missile units, it pays to make the most of the high ground here and close to melee as much as safely possible.

Despite the inevitable flank attacks on my pursuing units and some below-average luck, I managed a 43-7 win first time.
